Based on his spending we should simply be a top 6 team but he has taken us to 2 European Cup finals and on the verge of winning the league.

People criticise his lack of back-up strikers but he has simply had his hands tied, he has not been allowed to keep the likes of Bellamy & Crouch as part of a squad. Every other top team has 4 strikers.
I wasnt meaning whether he has faults or not, everyone has them, so it'd be a moot point to make or question to ask.

I was asking how much of our current predicament, do you blame on him?

    Maybe in percentage terms.

Based on our squad, we should be in the top four, without any trouble.

We've got a better squad/team than Arsenal in fact, IMO. But we're left chasing, not only them, but Villa, Spurs and City.

We have the 3rd or 4th best team/squad IMO, yet we're 7th. It's the most obvious example of not doing what you should, with the tools available to you.

maybe, if he was pictured wearing a man utd shirt and hugging Margeret Thatcher i might reconsider but until then no, seriously though as long as he is officially liverpools manager i will continue to support him, blind faith maybe but im old school im afraid.

        That's a different question though

I'll always support any player or manager at Liverpool, and want them to succeed. That's not in question.

My doubts are about whether i think he WILL turn it around for us.

I dont ask for the league title. I just want us to see our squad producing the best results it's capable of. That's a chasm away now.

So i guess my question was, would you want him to stay no matter WHERE we finished in the league?

Or is there a level at which we'd have to sink, for you to think 'time for a change' ?

It's not that difficult a question, i didnt think.

Balance off how much you really believe that Rafa's the man to take us to glory, against the lowest possible point we can reach which you consider acceptable.

Personally, i think a management change should generally only take place out of season, and i think Rafa's owed the full season. However, that then comes up against my strong feeling that if he stays, we will not qualify for the CL. That's not to say we'll qualify if he goes, but it opens up a stronger possibility IMO.

ok i think vinny jones will win big brother. against all the odds i think Gordon Brown will be our next prime minister, i dont think lady gaga is a man. i think the fleet foxes are ****, and i also think that the manager of liverpool fc whoever he is at the time is the holder of my dreams and aspirations when ever i feel down, so until the said manager is not there anymore i will keep the faith. other than that its bourbon and i get sarcastic on bourbon.

Anyone here rememeber Rafa's second season with Valencia?

After beating Barca and the Galacticos to win La Liga he finished 5th the followin year. What happened the following season? Yep Rafa won La Liga again and the Uefa Cup.

We all know this season has been cruel with injuries luck etc. To be honest imo the players have looked defeated since the opening day defeat against spurs. They, as I'm sure all of us supporters were expecting to take"the next step" this year and invest in 2 or 3 quality players. Instead we are forced to sell our playmaker and start the season weaker and without any reinforcements.

**** it, I was depressed as anyone else on Wed night but in the cold light of day I'm convinced Rafa can turn it around. Watching him in the press conference you can't deny his passion for Liverpool which I think sometimes is underestimated by some fans. The players need to take their proportion of the blame (not least the owners) and we need to support our club. Not incessantly bitch about our manager when things don't go our way. Sure he's not perfect, and makes some baffling decisions sometimes but I'm support him 100%.

                Rant over.

Get rid. He's gone stale and seems tired from the job.

Do you not think the squad we currently have is (should be) easily capable of finishing above Spurs, without any struggle?

Reina, Carra, Johnson, Agger, Mascherano, Aquilani, Benayoun, Gerrard Torres - that's 9 11ths of a fantastic side. So why arent we delivering?

It's one of two things for me. Either the players arent good enough - well, the manager chose to buy them so that's down to him. Or he's not getting enough out of them - which is down to him too.

Either way, it's the manager's responsibility.
                          Welcome back Craig.

If anybody can argue with his comments, they dont understand football.

With this point he is right, sadly.

I would get rid of him now, the team is absolutely nothing compared to last season.

                                We need a fresh start.
