Based on his spending we should simply be a top 6 team but he has taken us to 2 European Cup finals and on the verge of winning the league.

People criticise his lack of back-up strikers but he has simply had his hands tied, he has not been allowed to keep the likes of Bellamy & Crouch as part of a squad. Every other top team has 4 strikers.
And where should Arsenal be based on spending?

It's not as simple as that.

Oh and since Rafa arrived you're third in the net spend league behind City and Chelsea (but you can discount City as they've only had one season).

How much more backing does he need?

Rafa's net spend since he got here is about £90m. Which equates to a Rooney, Berbatov and Ferdinand for the mancs...who already had a title winning squad when Rafa turned up.

So that's less than £20m per season, to overhaul the squad.

Simple scenario - if Man Utd, Chelsea or City spend £20m-£30m on a dud, they can just go and get another.

If we spend £20m+ on a player, that's basically our record signing and we can do it once a year.

Since you mention Arsenal though - what have you won since Rafa showed up?

If anyone even attempts to have a discerning conversation about football with your repugnant presence i'll be highly disappointed.

At the end of the day that isnt the reason why we've been piss poor this season. You can give that as an excuse for not winning the league but not for our jack all football this season and our ****ty position in the League.

For me Rafa has seriously ****ed up this season. We can blame G+H for not giving us money and injuries and the bad luck and the media for trying to sabotage us but at the end of the day the blame has to lie at the gaffer for not turning the season around.

Even with all the injuries and bad luck we should've been in the top four and we should certainly have been in the Champions League.

I know I will get a lot of stick for this but that is how I see it and I am willing to take the snipers.

That is bull****. Back it up or shut up.

Benitez has spent an average of £16m a year since he arrived (extensive and exhaustive list can be supplied on request). £16m a year to overturn an entire squad and turn us into title challengers. United, Chelsea, Spurs and City have all spent more on their squads than we have on ours. We have the fourth or fifth highest wage bill in the league. Therefore par for us is around fifth place.

Not much. So having spent £135million more than us and £65million more than the mancs since he arrived isn't enough for him? How much more should he have to spend than these two clubs?

£140mill net and £105million net as well before you ask.

It's wrong by about £30m. His net spend is just under £84m over his five years, not £113.5m. I don't know what the hell that site is and where they get their numbers from, but take it from me the net spend is under £84m. That site must be one of the many clowns who, for instance, include £14m Djibril Cisse as a Benitez signing when in fact he didn't sign him at all.

                            Total Players Bought: £228,976,000
                            Total Players Sold: £145,100,000

                            Total Net Spend: £83,876,000

Like I said I can provide the exhaustive list if you really want to see it.

He's still spent more than Wenger and Ferguson in that time. He's hardly spent nothing.

I'm not blaming that for this season. This season's been ****e, but our mate from Arsenal will remember the year that Spurs sat in 4th place all the way through, until the last day. Anyone can have a **** season and i think Rafa's entitled to one too.
