I guess we're all guilty of received wisdom from time to time. However when the received wisdom is saying something negative about someone or thing you love then you'd think people would take the time to check the facts rather than just spouting it back.

There's a guy at work who does it and he REALLY pisses me off. He only seems to come over for a chat after a loss and it's always comments which could just as easily be coming from a Manc. ******.

We also have a scouse chick at work but to balance him out so it's not all bad.

So what do you mean, that the majority have just... what's that called again...ahhh, blind loyalty, and are'nt taking into consideration what they know about football, like i suppose the anti Rafa fans feel they are.

I hate to say it but some of the comments Rafa has made lately make it sound like he knows he's gone at the end of the season.
        Really?

Sensational thread this one, really is.

Are we all now in total agreement that you have to take NET spend as the correct figure?!

              Has Rafa lost the fans?

Great video that Cream, thanks for posting. Good to se the fans still firmly behind Rafa.

George Gillette said in an interview earlier this week that 'Rafa is one of the top 5 coaches in world football' and i genuinley agree with him

Some absolute **** being posted in here.

Rafa's spending?! Cool. Well, my first car cost me £9k, sold for £7k, second I got for £5k, sold for £6k, third car cost me £18k, fourth car cost me £28k etc etc... doesn't mean that my current car is worth or has cost me £60k + ffs.

I also had a discussion with a mate today, as he decided that the youngsters hadn't had a chance under Rafa. I don't know much about Chelsea, Arsenal (with their amazing youngsters... one season away ZOMG !1?! ! ? !) or United. But off the top of my head we've had Darby & Kelly who have been in the squad and given competitive minutes, Ayala who has started a few times and looks decent, Insua - no introduction needed. Plessis who debuted against Arsenal, Spearing - played against Real and has been on the bench for most of the season, El Zhar, Eccleston and Pacheco.

Oh, but Rafa doesn't give yoooof a chance?! Suck my chopper.

Yep, they portray Rafa in a totally unfair way compared to his opposite numbers at other top clubs, it's been the same since he came more or less, the majority of the media were and are, determined to paint a picture of Rafa as being a mediocre manager who just gets lucky.

All the while under Rafa when our defence was rock solid and our goal scoring was up there with the best they portrayed us as a team with defenders that couldn't understand the managers zonal marking and an attack that didn't score goals.

                      Tossers!

                        Exactly fella

I hate it when fans whinge / moan for the sake of it, or say that the media have an agenda... however I really, really think that the press have it in for Rafa & LFC. It sounds pathetic to think such a thing but it's true... cunts.

I know what you mean about thinking or believing the media have it in for him, sounds like a cop out, but whether by a partly agenda driven media or just poor quality journalism i do think he's has a raw deal generally, especially when the facts just don't match the medias projected perception of our manager.

Ah well, it won't change, but by god it would/will be sweet to see this club it's fans and it's manager shove the medias perception right down their throats.

Bumped into the ****** from work again yesterday for the first time since the Spurs win (I avoid the cunt like the plague) and his only comment was "Rafa saved himself for another week then".

"You could at least be happy we won and stop the bloody moaning for once" and I walked off. Hopefully he's got the message.

I hate Spurs and Spurs fans. Actually, other than United, I can't think of a team I hate more.

Why though? They seem to be full of themselves?! They usually score 3 goals agains West Ham & jump into 7th place and then think they're the best thing since sliced gooters.

                                They're orrible cunts.
