I don't see where the big debate is. We can't afford to sack him so he's here until the end of the season at least I would say. I've always said that is when a manager should be judged.

If we come 6th and win **** all then of course he has to go. If we finish 4th he will stay. Anything more and it's a bonus. I would love a run in the Europa Cup, by the time we get anyone decent we should have Gerrard and Torres back to full fitness. 4th place could come down to who we bring in this window.

Don't get me wrong, I do agree, no matter what we should be waiting until the end of the season.

Just finding the concentrated bombardment from the press rather ominous. They do like to have a go, but not normally quite to this degree.
