    When Rafa Goes

Its not if - its when. I dont have an opinion about it it is IMO just a matter of time

No investment so whose going to do better than our brilliant Spaniard with no money?

We have the best manager for zero investment - Jose has said no. I dont have an answer except to say that if we lose Rafa we lose the Spanish contingent

Added to that hes got his feet under the table with all aspects of the club

If Im a yank - all I care about is CL. However lose Rafa and you lose every penny youve invested

Dare I say it but we'll be back to hoping for a CL wout our Spaniards and wish we had someone like Oneill. We are royally fooked

We are about to become a mid table team

Why we would lose our spanish players? I don't remember mass exodus of portuguese players when Mourinho left Chelsea or mass exodus of french players when Houllier left (except those that Benitez kicked away).

Benitez might have been influence to come here but they are playing for Liverpool not Benitez.

Torres is a Liverpool fan, not a Rafa fan.

Hasn't Reina also said he's not there purely to work with Rafa?

So the best part of our Spanish contingent would remain.

Not giving an opinion on if I want Rafa to leave or not, my opinion is too mixed at the moment, but you're being way over dramatic.

I'm really fed-up of what the idiotic press has got to say about Torres leaving if Rafa leaves. Did Torres told them personally or did Torres declare openly about that? Scum press.

You got to be kidding, he has been given millions and keeps spending it on ****, Babel, Kuyt, Morienties, Bellamy, Pennant, Dossena, Reira and Keane. You can maybe even add Ciisse, as Rafa probably could have pulled out of that deal.

You add up all that wasted money, and strikers being turned into wingers, we still have no world class winger, we still have no world class defender or competent second striker, that was all achievable if the money was spent much more wisely.

This is Houiller all over again.

I wouldnt call Bellamy ****, he is citys best player this season and Rafa Didnt Buy Cisse. However I agree with the rest. Not good enough.

Look at the prices of the so called flops though, all top managers have failures when spending in the 10mill range, when your players cost an average of 20mill then obviously less failures, but when spending 20mill plus on a player is a rarety then you take more chances, more sides can compete for their signature too, so bound to be more failures...when putting those players next to players signed by our main rivals they look even worse, but then most of them would be wouldn't they, at the prices we pay.

Chelsea have had their Sidwells etc, Utd have had theirs too, but we buy more lower priced players as a rule, and they are meant to be our main players, at utd etc they just make up the numbers.

Please - its so evident that if we lose Spaniard in charge - we lose some of the quality Spaniards hes brought in. Does that mean we lose specific players we can try and name - perhaps not but there will be a trend of his fellows that will go. Whether thats Torres or Reina or others, time will tell but if you think it wont make any difference Id respectfully disagree

I get the impression that a lot of the players would relish a change if manager and a different way of doing things. Would think this applies to the spaniads also.

I must say I am shocked with liverpool fans and there treatment of rafa, he has made mistakes and I predicted on here a couple of seasons ago what would happen when he was trying to sign barry (xabi was a lot better player and would leave the following season following the treatment by rafa) but there is no doubt in my mind he is the best man for the job.

I am 23 and have supported liverpool through the evans and houllier and since rafa has been here the profile of the club has been bigger then I have ever seen in my life time and also has been the most succesful period.

This season is rafas only dissapointing one since he has been here and through all our troubles and injuries we are only four points behind these other teams competing for fourth place who are having there best seasons in years.

Houllier done a whole lot worse then rafa and had a squad that was a lot worse then rafa and he got another season when he failed to qualify for champs league so I think it is the very least that rafa gets too finish this season and fix his mistakes in the summer and get atleast next season as well.

Rafa is one of the very best managers in europe and if we sack him he will get another job with a top team in europe and we will be left with some long ball merchant like oneill and win a league cup or something.

Rafa is a world class manager and as they say form is temporary class is permanent, also remember rafa finished 5th with valencia and then won the league and uefa cup next season so he has shown he can bounce back.
