Defending hasn't been as tight as I was expecting with this line up, but its been ok.

We're lacking quality going forward, relying on quite a few long balls to Ngog who hasn't been effective.

Aurelio is having a poor game.

Kyrgiakos is doing well.

Tactically, on one hand we're defensively ok (as you'd expect with this lineup) but in attack we're quite poor, again due to the number of defensive players, so I don't think Rafa has got this one quite right, unless his plan is to go away with a clean sheet and a draw.

Do we do any "Football" training these days or is it all in front of a chalk board?? Its like watching children play football. Why the **** is it any time we are on the break we will have three or four players running towards their goal, The player running with the ball will pass the ball to another runner, the runner has to stop running to recieve the ball because the player with the ball "usually Dirk" Can not judge a running forward pass. He passes the ball to where the player is , but does not have the brains to realize the player is moving and pass the ball a few yards ahead of him.. does my ****ing head in, and he is not the only one. These players are just not good enough.

Any other team than this line up today and we would have conceded already. It's not a game for fair players, but for battlers. We've got the better quality on the pitch anyway, by far, so it should be a good platform to win this game. We need to maintain that level though and not lose that grip in the second half.

I think it's about getting the basics right, counteract Stoke's long ball game then try to control the midfield. I don't see anything negative in that. Put Aquilani, Maxi (who hasn't played one game for us yet), Pacheco (young rookie) and we may not control anything, then lose a goal and it's game over for us. Rafa is doing it right.

Pretty sure its our team thats been doing the long balls and the others passing up normally.

i will see fair play to the greek though. looked solid as ****....you just know he is always going to make that 1 **** up,

I'd rather 1 **** up compared to the half dozen carra skrtel etc seem to be doing lately.
