Didnt know what to make of Degen tonight, done a few good things but then some colassal errors like when he squared that ball to dirk.

Thought Aqualani played much, much better in the advanced role. Dont know what is going to happen once stevie is fit though in terms of who plays where? dont think aq plays well in the deeper role however it is early days....

Kuyt actually played well tonight, i am not normally his biggest fan but fair play to him he proved me and a few others wrong tonight, so long as he continues to do the same i will keep my mouth shut

Summary - Keep it up lads, we still need to improve but maybe now, we're getting there.

Great finish for the first goal and took a lot of bottle to score the penalty but should have wrapped the game up a lot sooner missed 2 sitters IMO and he cost us 2 points against Stoke with another missed sitter , good performance but it shouldn't mask the fact that Kuyt could have cost us another 2 points and if it wasn't for his inept finishing we would be a point ahead of Spurs in 4th

Great result though REDMEN get in there

I thought this was a thread about the Spurs fans post match celebrations when there weren't any.

Fantastic win but I have to admit that I thought Rafa could have made a change earlier as Spurs were putting us under alot of pressure, with Dirk upfront alone teams can afford to press us a bit high, actually the whole front four didn't offer much threat on the counter - despite Degen's pace. When Ngog came on I was relieved, just a mention as if Spurs had scored Rafa would have been in the spotlight.

But Kyrgiakos is proving to be good cover and Degen is useful as well, think Babel should look at him and see what hard work on the pitch can return. Carra was good at right back and put in a fantastic cross for Riera

Actually in hindsight we were much the better side, apologies to Rafa for doubting him - if this continues I honestly think Rafa and the team will be stronger next season. I think his Valencia team won the title in one season then finished 5th or something then won it again so we can look forward to next season

Just had to put my thoughts out there, didn't know I thought so much....
                * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Good solid team performance, plenty of effort and commitment. Still not clinical in front of goal and our passing and movement is ****, but that will come if we continue to work hard and pick up the points.

You could see we lacked the genuine quality and looked a bit short technically, but as has already been said the effort, committment and sheer desire to win was evident from the first to the last whistle.

Any scummy journo **** stirring about our team spirit should be choking on their own **** after watching that.

I ****ing hate the media, but some of our fans who read the **** and take it as gospel need to support somebody else.

He looked good when not in the final third but he is a fullback who hasn't played much football for two years so I think he deserves a little bit of leeway.

I think he need s a bit more space. His position relative to how Spurs lined up, Riera widening midfield and the type of game all suited him. I think there will be times when we are confident when he can do things more easily than he has previously even from a deeper role. Still I guess we will have to wait and see.

Always thought he was our best penalty taker, although Stevie can hardly be faulted recently.
