I am confused, I thought his initial injury was reported as a sports hernia? Now it seems he should be back to form after having his knee operated. If he did his knee but still carries the hernia, certainly he would not have healed in 6 weeks time?

eh?Originally posted by javier_monsterano View PostI'll just say one thing,i really hope this time he comes back 100% fit
because if he ends up injured again and doesn't make the spain world cup squad, who then go on to win the World Cup,without him....there could be a problem or two,no?
from a pure LFC point of view, if he wasn't fit for the Spainish squad for S Africa, and it meant he was ****ing flying fit for us, come next August - i'd take that. But, i'm sure Fernando, being a patriotic Spainard, wouldn't agree with me.
What is your point Masch? what problem or two do you forsee?
This is linked to a previous thread..........international football, including the World Cup, is a carnival side show. I don't know what nationality you are, but ask yourself this...........
A fully fit Nando, come August, champing at the bit to get going again, who didn't go to SA v A fatigued, injury plagued, mid twenty year old who hasn't had a holiday, ready to start trudging around premiership pitches again?
You don't need to phone a friend, or ask the audience, to get the answer for that one....
But again, to reiterate, i'm sure Nando wouldn't agree with my argument...

Liverpool comes first to you and me
but the player wants to win the world cup, with a squad that is very capable.
If they do win it without him, would it spur him on to want to win the premiership, will he use the dissapointment/hurt/pain/whatever the **** he is feeling,in a positive way to help us on,or will it have a negative impact on him and Liverpool FC?
I think i'll log off now
tired and probably talking ****

Think all the big names that are playing with knocks and bumps have one eye on the world cup.
I'm Spanish, and although I love Liverpool if the choice was play for Spain or play for Liverpool I would hope Torres would play for Spain. If we were in a position to win the league THEN it would be the other way round. Spain have never won the world cup, and to be part of the team that finally does it would mean more than Liverpool finishing 4th.

So you're a part time LFC supporter then.. " you only sing when we're winning.."Originally posted by Spanishfly View PostThink all the big names that are playing with knocks and bumps have one eye on the world cup.

Not at all, however you have to see it from the players POV.Originally posted by Molby View PostSo you're a part time LFC supporter then.. " you only sing when we're winning.."

IF Torres has his chances of a WC winners medal ****ed up by his club ruining him physically would it affect his affection for Rafa/LFC and as a result limit his dedication to the cause or determination to stay with us."that is my opinion and that is more important than what anyone else has to say about it" - Mr A.Fergusson, Oct 2011

He's spent nearly half of the past two seasons injured, surely he cannot be fatigued from playing in World Cup. Personally, I feel if Spain won the World Cup, it would give all of their squad a huge lift and increase their performances the following season.

If he's injured for the world cup then I think you are spot on that he'd lay the blame at our door.Originally posted by javier_monsterano View PostLiverpool comes first to you and me
