Just wished he'd been here this year. We could have used his calm leadership at the back.

We would be still in the mix IMO but Rafa had to convicne to stay last year and he had the incentove of it being his 10th year. BTW he better get a testominial at some point.
Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

Interesting to hear that as so many people point that out as Rafa's weakness.

Sami's hardly going to say different, is he?

Rafa's a good man-manager with those players who fit his ideals. Less so with those who perhaps dont.

Surely every manager is like that?

If you have similar ideas there's not conflict of opinions and you don't really have to man manage alot of issues.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

You pose the question but I don't understand why you think he's hardly going to say different, why?

He scored the 3-0 for Leverkusen with a smashing header after a corner.
Just the sort of thing he used to do for us.

Our loss clearly has become Leverkusen's gain.

The win took Leverkusen to top of the Bundeliga as well
