    If Pompey go bust.........

If they went bust before the end of the season, then surely the Premier League would take away all points won against them for the season and declare this years Premier League as a 19 team league.....

This could help Liverpool as our rivals will surely have all picked up points against Pompey (including Man City today!) whereas we lost to Portsmouth the week before xmas........

Imagine the likes of O'Neill and Redknapp if this was the difference between us going through to next seasons champions league!!!

Also, do we still owe portsmouth money for Glen Johnson??? If so and they go bust, then does this mean that we owe them **** all???? Could be interesting!!!

Also, does anyone think that they have any players we should pinch before the transfer window shuts??? I reckon Begovic would be a handy backup for reina if we wanted to sell Cavalieri....but that's probably about it and he would also probably want first team football.......

Isn't it unlikely that they will go bust and no longer exist? Which would be the only way results wouldn't count. Surely they're more likely to go into administration and have to sell players etc
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

In youth football, once a team's completed 50% of the season the points stand. The remaining fixtures are awarded the 3pts against the team that's pulled out.

If we owe them money for Johnson then we'd be listed as a debtor and there's no way we'd get away without honouring it. And why should we!

1 Yes, clutching at straws....but the thought has occurred to me too.
2 When Accrington Stanley folded, all their games were cancelled even though they had played more than 50% of the games.
3 If Portsmouth went bust, we would still owe them exactly what we owe them now...and would still need to meet whatever payment schedule we have agreed.

Redknapp played a big part in what is happening to Pompey (John Utaka 70-80k a week?!?!), that would be ****ing hilarious if those 3 points cost Redknapp & Spurs Champions League football. Will never happen though...
