If Chelsea win all their games, except for the game against us, they'll still win the title - because one of those games would be against the mancs.

In the big scheme of things, Chelsea winning their 4th or 5th title (or whatever it'd be) is meaningless.

Mancs winning their 19th, would be a disaster.
ok smart arse. But in all reality they won't win all their games and will probably need something against us.

I think we'll beat chelsea and lose to utd and utd will end up winning the league. if that happens with this team of theirs being so poor I think i'll kill fredo and feed him to the poor.

Fair enough but you're only an internet warrior, I'm sure you're a little rabbit in everyday life.

Give me Chelsea over Utd any day of the week. They are the lesser of two evils. If the scum did win a 19th title, the only redeeming feature would be the distraction of the World Cup this year which means their gloating wouldn't last all damn summer...

          .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

For the record, i'll be 'supporting' Chelsea in more than one game anyway.

They still have to play Spurs, City, Villa and Man Utd. There's at least 4 games where they'll have my 'support'.

My support will make little difference to their results, so i shall not be supporting them at all...however, i wouldn't mind them beating Arsenal, cos it'll give us a chance to catch up on them...whilst Arsenal ain't got a main striker, they are there for the taking.

Is wanting them to win the same as supporting them ?, i don't think so, in that case, i will be wanting them to win.

In fact us finish 4th and Utd win a record 19 or us finish 5th and chelsea win the league? Now thats a difficult one.
It doesn't matter if they get their 19th or not. We are powerless to stop them overtaking our record and counting on other teams to do it for us shows how far we have fallen. Our league successes were so long ago they are almost irrelevant. :-(

If we beat everton and chelsea beat arsenal, and then the week after we beat arsenal, we will only be 2 points behind arsenal with the same number of games played...

But they play such beautiful football...
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

to be fair if you're going to win bugger all better to do it whilst entertaining your paying public on a regular basis.

Maybe so, but it should hardly be the blueprint for other teams to follow, especially one which generally out performs it.

I think their approach to the way football is played is certainly a blueprint many more should follow. Would I want us to over pass the ball to death? probably not but then keeping it on the floor for 70% of the game would do wonders for most LFC fans necks.

At the end of the day Arsenal fans are just as pissed off as us at failing to land a big money signing, or failing to win trophies but at least they do get entertained over the season. Imagine what it would be like to watch boring football, not spend any money or win anything....er hold on a minute.
