Disgrace if true... 100k?!?! wasn't he on that list with jack wilshere of future stars? even if he didn't turn out to be good he surely would have been worth a lot more in a few years

So you suggest the club should have held on to him, despite the coaches not thinking he has a real future at LFC, which would probably have stopped another young player from getting a chance in his place and quite possibly would have f*cked up his development and hence career all so we might be able to sell him for a a few hundred thousand more in two or three years. Marvellous.

He's a young footballer, not a slave. The club need to do the right thing by players, especially young ones.

I am a little surprised by this but when we signed him, the guys round here (Dortmund) said he wasn't great and Dortmund didn't rate him all too highly.

I told them they didn't know what they were talking about. Perhaps it is infact me who doesn't know what he is talking about, looking at list made by some journo who knows less about footballing ability than my girlfriend.

No idea why I could only find those two years, maybe I wasn't looking hard enough.

Either way, none of the 2005 list appear to be pulling up any trees yet - though I'm open to contradiction, and I'm sure a couple of them have scored a lot of goals in Pro Evo.

No none of them have gone on to be world beaters, obviously that doesn't mean the ones on the last list won't. They've got to get some right eventually

the reason hes been sold is simple. thomas ince.

buchtmann isnt a left back and in recent matches was played on the right to accomodate ince.

ince is english and will probably develop into a better player.

To be honest I was far more impressed with Buchtmann than Ince. Buchtmann is very comfortable on the ball, is intelligent and uses it well. Ince can be very good in flashes but his awareness of people around him is very poor. He'll run up a blind alley before he'll pass to someone in a better position. He's one player that I can't see making the grade unless he makes some miraculous improvement, which doesn't look on the cards. But Buchtmann really did look like a decent player with a bright future

Yeah, when we signed Sama they said they weren't arsed, not like they were when we poached Buchtmann.

Is he any good? Only seen the odd highlight from Academy and didn't notice him at all.

I've never seen Sama play but Franco Baldini in FM2010 reckons he's a top prospect

I really don't know why everyone is in uproar about this.
We bring a lot of youngsters in, some don't make the grade in the opinion of the manager and his staff and are sold on.
How the **** people can quote a list of 'Top 100' and use it as a bases of argument because generally the journo's involved are about as knowledgeable as Bascombe
