    The Emirates

Yes - got 2 tickets Arsenal end unfortunately. Have never been there so should be good. Only other PL ground I haven't seen Pool in is Upton Park. Anyone else going?

I'm not going and I haven't been inside the stadium but I did used to take my household and garden rubbish there for disposal by Islington Council's refuse and recycling department. I once took a fridge there and they didn't take the CFCs out of it.

    True story.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

I went there to see Brazil vs Portugal a couple of years ago. I spent most of the time checking out the females in the crowd.

      Also a true story.

I'm going, and been 3 times before.

It's what you'd imagine, very impressive to look at and very modern facilities, but without much soul and a bit of a git to make you way around on the outside. Padded seats, lots of leg room and overpriced food/drink. Over-zealous stewards last time i went (Carling Cup match) but maybe that's just in the away end.

I've seen several Arsenal-Liverpool matches in the Arsenal end. I remember seeing us lose in around 1975, despite the mighty Toshack/Keegan partnership. Although, thinking about it, I was in the Clock End not the North Bank so that doesn't count. My Arsenal-supporting mate was in the wrong end that day.

I also watched us lose 2-1 at some point in the late 80's when I distinctly remember the substitute, Niall Quinn, being greeted by laughs from the Liverpool end and groans from the North Bank (where I definitely was, along with my friend Pete who is also a Liverpool fan). After they had equalised, Quinn made a highly improbable, mazy, winger-like run down the right-hand touchline and crossed for (I think) Alan Smith to score the winner.

          True story.

Er, I think the moral of the tale is that if you're going to the game, don't laugh if Niall Quinn comes on as a sub.

Bit too modern for me personally but it's pretty impressive.

Been 3 times before (always in the Liverpool end). Agree pretty impresive but doesn't really hold an atmosphere, or is that just their fans?
This city has two great football teams – Liverpool and Liverpool reserves

I can remember both Liverpool and Arsenal fans joining together and singing the same abusive song to Adebayor Real moment of unity

Good point - Highbury was always very quiet when I went there a few seasons back

I was at an Arsenal v Newcastle game there a few years back (free trip & tickets) Dull game 1-1, dull atmosphere esp the Arsenal fans. Nice stadium though. We got free beer at half time too!

All round good weekend though. Did some sightseeing too, you know the usual touristy stuff.

                        Very true story!
Jellyfish are 97% water or something, so how much are they doing? Just give them another 3% and make them water. It's more useful

Shaggy once grew a brilliantly comical muzzie, but he was nowhere near the Emirates Stadium when this happened.

                              True story.
