Search the forum for a post where either myself, Red_Hot or PeteBest have ever said "how useless he is". Go on I dare you. Same probably applies for many on this thread but I know us three have always backed him.

I'll turn it around as well and say how funny it is that a lot of the haters have gone quiet all of a sudden whilst he is having this good spell. They're happy to slag him when the going gets tough, but no where to be seen to give him any credit when it's due.

I'm stunned by your ignorance, please review today's game, not only did Dirk score the vital goal, he also was key to all of our best attacking moments and dispelled the myth that he has poor first touch.

You think it's determination alone that has meant Dirk has scored 50 goals now and quite a lot of them have been vital; that is an ability that very few players have.

You clearly have very little appreciation of football.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - most of his post are just with the intention of getting a rise. Unfortunately we both have risen to it, but there you go. That this is his sole post after winning the derby speaks volumes about him really.

He was excellent again today, he's really starting to become the scourge of Everton, seems to love scoring against them, much like Rushie

              I've always liked Kuyt too.

Jamie Redknapp's comment about Liverpool right midfielders always being skilful doesn't seem right to me. Craig Johnston wasn't the most skilful footballer and Brian Hall was good but nothing special but they played their part. McManaman apart, it always seemed left-wing where our flash player played - Thompson, Heighway, Barnes...

Yeah, yeah, Redknapp's memory doesn't go as far back as mine but have I remembered it wrong?

(No mentions of Jimmy Carter please - OK, he's a one-man demolition of Redders' argument but he doesn't qualify)
              .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

I've always said he would go down as a Liverpool legend
I know there are a few people who don't like him
I'm probably repeating whatever has already been written on here about him,
he works hard for the team, will do his all, just wish he wasn't in the later years of his
career.he's come up with very important goals for us.
He scored the goal in the dying minutes of my first match at Anfield
that made sure my trip back home was a happy one.
You'll never hear me say something bad about our Kuyt.

Apart from Kuyts' second season where he was pony - and you can understand why - he's been good. Not world class, not skillful, not quick, but if that's all £10m gives you these days then Rafa has done well with that £10m.

Let's have it right. He has days where he looks **** - most days. But he's the big man for the big occasion. Even in his second season where he was having a Regi Blinker, he still scored important goals in the CL. And a ratio of what, a goal in every 3 or 3.5 games isn't too shoddy either.

I'm not a massive fan of Kuyt but I think, over the course of the last 4 years, we'd be a worse team without him.

His form was stuttering earlier this season, but the same could probably be said of everyone. But he's picked up very well and it's impossible not to like him.

In the 80th minute today, i saw what summed it all up for me.

Kuyt had been running for 80 minutes, and as a ball went wide right, there he was chasing the player down, pressing and working for the team.

Babel, who had come on about 10 minutes prior, strolled around with the kind of relaxed manner, that makes you think he's about to spark up a fag...

Complete contrasts, Kuyt's the best example to anyone and Babel's a waster.

I'm not his biggest fan but tbh, he was ****IN RED today! when he scored he was furious, so unusual for him!

I understand what frustrates people about him, but no LFC fan can have anything other than admiration for his never-say-die attitude and the fact that he gives everything he's got for the red shirt. If all our players gave what he does we'd never have been in the position we've found ourselves in this season.

Now all my lies are proved untrue

Yep this irritated the **** out of me. Everyone else is working their socks off while Babel strolls around casually. Kuyt was magnificent and Ngog was a handful for them. The key thing is that each time Kuyt and Ngog lost the ball they immediately started chasing and tackling to win it back whereas Babel would just walk away.

Kuyt is an example to all while Babel is a ****ing waste of space

I have never been a kuyt massive fan, but now I have to dmit that his last games for us has been superb! That's why Rafa plays him every game! Not the most skilful player but in kuyt you have another mascherano, another carragher and now another regular goalscorer! Cross fingers he'll keep the same level!
