Kuyt is superb here, he makes total mugs out of Neville and howard, they are almost clamping him to the ground...he still scores.

        Shows it well here..

If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Geoff Shreeves claimed Gerrard had said this during Rafa's interview.

I`ve just read it in a norwegian review of the match, so I don`t know anything more than that. i just thought it was an interesting remark, a game can feel totally different for the players.

Rafa looked proper pissed off with the ref.

Always love his celebrations, just pure joy and you know how much the club means to him.

                      A fantastic result!

The fact that we played most of it with 10 men and still came out on top, shows that the confidence is starting to come back.

Let's hope other results go our way.
                      City already 1-0 down.

Everton's lack of ideas was shocking.

I thought Kuyt was MoM and looked excellent. All of our players came out with credit though. Maxi in his first start looked really impressive - I though having another technical player who liked to give and go in the midfield helped Lucas a great deal (and Mascherano when he was in midfield).

                          What is happening with Aquilani?

I know it's the sort of game were you could argue might not be right but if we keep looking at it this way, then no game will be ever be right.

Great result today though. If only our defence had sorted itself out in August not January the title would have been there for the taking.

If we can get a minimum of a point at Arsenal, the race for 3rd is on!
Sorry Magic but thats horse****, on several occasions today he point blank called in favour of the blues, when it was clear for all to see it was infact the other way around. just look at the start of the game when fellaini wrestled the Greek to the ground, Randy Gay reckend it was a 50/50 He is a bluenose through and through but call it right down the middle he does not.

"We need to overhaul our tactical approach. We are struggling against counter attack and labour to attack effectively. We are trying to play like Barca and Arsenal with an inferior set of players. Too deliberate at times. "

The above quote is from an Everton forum. I think its the funniest thing I've read in a long long time. Everton are nothing but a long ball merchants with Arteta thrown into the mix.

Apparently he was on Football Focus earlier on and said that he still feels pain from time to time in his ankle.

Regardless of what anyone thinks of the Aquilani situation - he'd have been snapped in half today. Would've been inevitable in my opinion, Moyes would've told his thugs to get at him from the off.
