[QUOTE=Matt;1526756]Think so, never heard of it before this last year. It could be the new metatarsal.

I Never heard of this injury until this season................I thought it was someone who took someone else against their will?.............

On a serious note though ,It really does ask a question of our backroom/physio dept.................I have never ever known Carra to get a injury of this sort yes he has had the odd bump ( broken Rib) but not a muscle strain, First Gerrard Then Torres and now Carra all with the same or simalar injury?.....to much of a coincidence for me

It's strange. I dunno, perhaps it's down to Carra having to play a more strenuous role at full back.

Or from carrying our defence for so long
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Sounds like another injury we could possibly thank Sammy Lee for.

That's the beauty of being out of the cup Another week will go by without another crucial game for Nando to miss. City on the 21st, Blackburn on the 28th and then Nando should be close to returning for Wigan away on 8th March.

If we put out a strong lineup for the Europa Tinpot Cup games, i'll be fuming.
Couln't agree more. The league is our #1 priorty

I completely agree that it's a ****e trophy but I'm trying to think of the bigger picture.
The bigger picture, IMO, is making sure we remain a CL club. That's where the true value lies.

It's about winning trophies Craig mate and you can bet that Rafa will put his strongest line up in this competition.

It's about sustaining the ability to remain competitive at the top level and to do that, we simply MUST be in the CL, no two ways about it.

I'm not having this argument with you, because as much as you dont like to hear it, you ARE factually wrong on this one.

If we're not a CL club, we're nothing. End of.

As Shankly would say: 'This club is all about winning trophies'. You're 'factually' refuting one of our most famous ethos there, one started generations ago by our greatest legend.

You're shooting yourself in the foot once again Craig.

There weren't 4 Champions League spots up for grabs when he said that.

I'm Champions League all the way but I respect other people's preferences.

Given our current financial situation it would seem absolutely crucial that we qualify for the CL next season, especially if we have any desire to be challenging for titles for the next few years. FAR more important than winning the UEFA cup. Of course it would be nice to win a trophy but the future of the club and the chance to be winning bigger trophies in future has to be our focus.
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
                          Mine angry and defrauded young?

He also said football's more important than life or death.

Go and live by that mantra too then, yeah? Given how you're always telling us to calm down when we're stropping about a defeat, cos there's more to life.

Wriggle yourself out of that one, Rommel.
