We wont do this but I'd be tempted to stick Pacheco on for Aquilani, play him off Ngog and slot Gerrard into midfield, then hopefully Pacheco can play in that congested area just outside the penalty area.

And considering the romanians dont look as though they're allowed out of their own half, what's the point of a holding midfielder?

Dave Woods is a British sports commentator. He covers rugby league and football for the BBC as well as occasional freelance work for Five. Although Ray French is the BBC's principle rugby league commentator, Woods is the main man on the Super League Show and occasionally covers Premier League games for Match of the Day outside the rugby league season. He has attended every Challenge Cup Final since 1974. He is commentating on his first Challenge Cup Final this year (2009).

Dave Woods used to lecture in radio at the University of Huddersfield, but left in July 2008.

I know it might be blasphemous, but I'd seriously think of taking Carra off and bringing Degen on at right back too. Carra's wasted tonight, they're not attacking and he's no good going forward. May as well stick Degen on there and give Carra a break before Sunday.

Degen on for Carra soon, then Pacheco on for Aquilani with Gerrard back to midfield, then Babel on for N'gog as a last throw of the dice, would be my subs at the moment.
