How do you know he'll start up front? My guess is Kuyt up front, Maxi right, Babel left, Gerrard behind. Kuyt up front alone just doesn't work and I'd prefer Babel up there to be honest, but I can't see it.

I don't know, I'd have just thought Ngog would have started as the striker, I guess Kuyt probably will start up top. I've just got used to Kuyt playing out wide. I should know now not to second guess Rafa

er well you give players a few reserve games to get match fit then first team football ......yeah well aquilani is a waste of money from what he has shown

Bit theres no harm putting them on the bench, pretty sure they will be fit enough to play 15 mins of first team football, it'll help them get match fit as well

off to watch the game at home...its on SKY in germany but not on SKY uk...how stupid is that.

I know this won't be popular but I don't think Kuyt up front on his own is inherently a problem. The issue is when people don' support and run past him.

If we are going to play Babel an Kuyt I would like to see something like an altered version of the old Arsenal formation when they had Overmars. By which I mean that the player closest to the striker was often the wide player using their pace to run at the defense and often past the forward(s). I think that could play to both of their strengths.

I'd much rather have Kuyt as a lone front man than Babel.
