Aquilani may not be playing out of his skin but one thing I have noticed is that he always seems to be in space which most of the rest of the team seem unable to do.
Might be interesting to see that, I have noticed a lot less long range efforts from Gerrard this season though, he only has 6 goals this year.

Maybe it says more about our other strikers than Stevie but he's never that effective in that position when Torres is out.
I don't think either plays as well in their role without the other
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

When was the last time we really played a good game? I'm at a loss to remember a great performance - even the United win wasn't the prettiest game.

No spark, again. Predictable performance and a predictable result

            That's a sweeping generalisation.

Two evenly matched teams can cancel each other out, but that can still make for an absorbing contest and players can still demonstrate their quality.

What we saw today was far from absorbing. We were poor and they were just as bad.

Maybe not but Torres upfront without Gerrard is more effective than Gerrard in the hole without Torres IMO.

One of the worst refereeing displays Ive seen all season.

We are painfully frustrating to watch.

I can't bear much more of this, it's not worth the stress.

                        Why didn't Benayoun dive?

Good to see Skrtel back on form.

Are we the most boring team to watch in The Premier League now? It feels like it.

And making sweeping generalistions can't hide the fact that we were very poor today.

We need Aquilani spraying the long passes about ala Alonso. The players in front of the midfield at present have to drop back to pick up the ball, where they are lesws effective and isolate the striker

Aye, he needs to try a few more efforts, we need him too, he hasn't been his usual goal threat this season.
