I know he's only started a handful of games but I struggle to see what he brings to the side.

    He was anonymous again today.
    Thought the same really mate.

It's early days but so far he's made zero contribution. Hopefully when the team starts playing better, Torres returns and Maxi gets more games then he'll improve. But he's not cutting it right now.

BBC Sport's Phil McNulty at Eastlands: "Obviously words can't fail me or I would have a major problem - but this was the sort of match that could reduce you to that. Shocking. Awful. Mediocre. Miserable. There are others but they may be for another day. Rotten - there's another one."

Maxi is another one of these non-dynamic players we seem to be acquiring, he's technically sound but doesn't have the pace to beat players.

Stats from the beeb. Pretty dire game to watch but a decent result for us. Great to see us solid at the back again and i'm sure we'll see an improvement in the attacking third for the rest of the season with Torres back Well let's ****ing hope so......
15 fouls in total, of which 6 of them deemed worthy of a yellow by that ref.

Have you seen the game Bender?

We've solved our defensive problems which caused us a lot of problems earlier in the season as we were losing games. We're starting to take control of games again and all what is lacking is a quality final pass and goals. This will come, we're 2/3rd of the way. We're getting back Torres and Benni plus Johnson will be another player which will improve us going forward.

Still, that won't prevent the negativity flowing. Keep going.

We just offer nothing going forward. It frustrating to watch and boring at times as you just know as soon as some players get the ball they will pass it back instead of looking forward.

The thing is, we either play 4-2-3-1 or 4-4-1-1.

Today we played 4-2-3-1 with a striker not suited to playing the lone role, a winger playing in the wide striker role, two full-backs who are pretty poor at attacking and two midfielders who don't have a range of passing, all wrong.

Considering it was a ****e match Im ok with 1 point. Were fighting to be 4th best now not 1st so the important thing is that they never got 3 points at home. Their run-in is harder than ours so we'll be fine.

We cancelled them out and they cancelled us out. It was 2 cautious teams settling for a point. We had no pace or flair upfront and Its not real surprise that we couldn't score.

Anyway its a better result for us than them considering the run-in

Stayed on his feet which we all want to see and managed to get to the ball and knock it across even though it came to nothing. That shouldn't really be a talking point after a display like that.

But for ****s sake he was signed on a free transfer, what can you expect from a team which doesn't have money to compete for the best? I'm getting ****ing sick of you lot in here, ****ing doom mongers. I hope we end up with Steve McClaren as our next manager or maybe Klinsmann and we rot in the relegation zone next season, just to piss you lot off.
