Spurs are still always liable to be done by a Wolves or a Hull, and Villa still have a distracting cup final, as well as fixture congestion and a thin squad.

Our problems in attack might also just be boosted by the beautifully timely return of the world's best striker and one of the most creative midfielders in the league.

Whatever else anyone says, we're the ones with the bottle and experience, we're the ones who have an upturn in form and we're the ones who are looking hardest to beat right now.
I do understand what you are saying especially about the experience and I hate the way that I'm thinking (negatively) but I just worry that last season took so much our of the lads and the lack of attacking ability at the moment really makes me think we won't do it and then we might find ourselves back to square one.

I am equally with you in the hope that our attacking problems may well just be boosted by the return of Torres.

Fair do's Although Mancini's may have said that without knowing the full facts. We don't really know do we? However if he has said that knowing the full facts then it's completely ****.

He may not have known the full details, or equally he may have misunderstood the question. He might've thought the reporter meant 'do you want him to come back?' which would obviously be a yes. Those were definitely the words that were used though. Whether Mancini quite understood what he was saying and how it may look, is another story

True enough...it's like me and my grasp of Malay...i'd hear the word for Bellamy...then the word for back...realise it was a question and fill in the blanks myself...ah, he's asking if i we would like Bellamy back...oh yes, definitely!!

The City game result isn't the problem here, its been the same ****e all season and its just compounded every other game.

We've made excuses about injuries, in the new year some have pointed to a little improvement in defence, but the fact remains that we've been consistently average. With us battling to get back into the top 4 we've accumulated 12 points, Everton took 16. We've had 2 games against top sides in that period (City and Arsenal), Everton faced us, City, Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal yet still took 4 more points. Thats an absolute disgrace, regardless of the injuries to Torres and Johnson, to be outperformed by Everton with that run of fixtures is unforgiveable.

edit: hang on, I'm in a mood at the moment, so the "unforgiveable" and "disgrace" comments are a bit OTT. However, its still very poor.

Can't bare to watch us play these days, it's become so boring. If Rafa does go we should look at bringing back Roy Evans as manager.

I'll take a goal-less away draw against a team higher in the league than us any day of the week. I'd also be very happy with scrappy one-nil wins with lucky deflections or own goals for the rest of the season.

For me it's how many points we end up with rather than how we play that matters. That's been the way since I started going to the game 45 years ago. If we happen to have played well so be it, but I always get just as much pleasure from an away draw or a lucky win when playing badly as I ever do from some swash-buckling high-scoring win

At the end of the day I'm a supporter so I follow Liverpool blindly no matter how we play or where we are in the league.

If I wanted entertainment I'd never watch any football at all, I'd go to the pictures. In supporting a team entertainment is way down the list. Getting to the best position you can in a tournament is all that matters. Those who prattle on about being bored by their own team and wanting entertainment really don't sound very much like true supporters to me. But then I'm not one of mentally-feeble Facebook generation
                  WTF?????

When the squad is on about a million quid a week I expect something in return FFS.
Teams that don't play or get lucky deflections and so on do not progress into the higher echelons and possibly do not exist over longer periods of time.
If its about how many points we end up with is 12 enough? 19 maybe?
Wow, that'll encourage investment and growth for the club and city won't it?

I can't believe how many on here have agreed with this 100% and still complain about the yanks and Rafa and how crap we played - WTF is going on?

At the end of the day I support Liverpool blindly too but that means craving glory and success for the team and city.

People only complain about the quality of the football you play when you aren't effective. If we'd won number 19 this season playing crap football would anyone care?
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I think there is a difference between playing crap football and playing unattractive or negative football.

It is possible to play negative, unattractive football and win the league, the scum last year for example, Jose Mourinho's Chelsea, George Graham's Arsenal...
