    Unirea build up

Striker Fernando Torres is likely to be on the bench again for Liverpool's Europa League last 32 second-leg tie against Romanian side Unirea Urziceni.

The Spaniard made his comeback against Manchester City on Sunday after five weeks out with a knee injury.

David Ngog is likely to start up front after missing the match at Eastlands with an ankle injury.

Midfielder Yossi Benayoun is pushing to start having also made his comeback - from a broken rib - at City.

Winger Maxi Rodriguez is ineligible having already played in Europe this season for Atletico Madrid, so Benayoun could contest the left-sided role with Spaniard Albert Riera.

Greek Defender Sotirios Kyrgiakos, currently serving a domestic suspension which rules him out of Sunday's match at home to Blackburn, is available for Thursday's match but is likely to start on the bench as he did for the first leg.

Holding a slender 1-0 lead from the first leg, Liverpool will need to call upon all their European experience to claim an aggregate victory and book a last 16 tie against either Turkish side Fenebahce or French outfit Lille.

After enduring a frustrating first leg against Unirea, followed by a dour 0-0 draw at Manchester City in the Premier League last Sunday, Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is hoping the onus on the home side to score in Bucharest will afford his side more opportunities.

"We have to believe that the away leg will be different because they will have to attack and that will leave more spaces, and maybe we can create more clear chances," said the Spaniard.

"The main thing now is that we know them. It will not be a surprise the next game and we have to be ready. We have to think about attack.

"We have to do better, or at least we have to score an early goal and the game will maybe be more open."
    Reina
    Carra - Kyrgiakos - Skrtel - Insua
    Kuyt - Aquilani - Masch - Babel
    Gerrard
    Ngog

Got the upper hand so no need to risk things although they will come out with more desire to get back into the game. Aquilani deserves a start as he continues to settle in and i don't think Torres and Yossi need to play from the start for this one.

            You've dropped the captain?
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

I can rest him sometimes, looks like he needs a break.

I'd go with that as well, maybe even but babel up front and bring in Riera.

Riera is not in the squad.

I hate it when people spell our players names wrong.
