    What a load of ****

West Ham got relegated because they replaced Harry with Roeder.

Southampton were already ****ed when he came in.

Harry only spends the money he's given by the owners....but that seems to be ignored. Its always the mangers fault

People talk about Harry Redknapp not winning trophies, but how many big enough clubs has he ever managed? Bournemouth, West Ham, Portsmouth, Southampton, Portsmouth again and now Spurs.

It's not like he's gone to clubs who should be winning things and were bringing home trophies before he stepped in and 'ruined' it.

      He's a very good manager.

Won promotion with Bournemouth and then look them down again.

West Ham was better with an 8th and even a 5th place finnish. But the crop of youth players that came through the club at the time was incredible. John Barnes could have managed that lot to success.

          He got Pompey promoted.

Went to Southampton and took them down. (or at least didn't stop them being relegated).

Pompey return: spent a fortune and won the FA Cup and a 9th place finish.

Spurs: spent a sack full and finished 8th.

He's a pretty average manager at best, who has had a lot of luck getting decent jobs because of his 'personality'.

            Right-oh.

Cos it's not like Southampton werent already ****ed before he arrived.

He rescued Pompey after Perrin almost relegated them. He kept WHU in the top flight, and then the next bloke came in and relegated them.

            By your logic:

West Ham was better with an 8th and even a 5th place finnish
Rafa must be ****, because Liverpool were better under Dalglish, with 1st place finishes.

Er, what? You're going to have to explain that 'logic'.

He's only done well with amazing youth players available, as at West Ham, or lot's of money to spend. imo.

Redknapp exploited Portsmouths financial weakness' by nicking their best players for feck all.

I would love to see how those deals where done.

I think he's a decent manager, but should probably avoid the mind games
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

You said WHU were better before him, finishing 8th and 5th, and implying that this suggests he's not that good, because he didnt achieve similar success.

Same logic could be used for Rafa, except it'd be silly. Same as it's silly to use it against Redknapp.

Not sure about feck all, Spurs paid good money.

£15 or so million for Defoe. £10 million for Crouch.

No, I was trying to say his achievements at WHU were better than his achievements at Bournemouth as he took them to 8th and then 5th in the PL. Wasn't clear, granted.

Redknapps big buys at Portsmouth all left for a big profit. When he spent big he bought well.

101 in maths. -5.4 is more than -8, but looking at spend in one season is pretty meaningless. Cost of assembling squad and paying its wages is the key when looking at value for money or return on investment.

I think he snapped up Kranjkar for 1.5 mill but I didn't realise he paid 15 mill for Defoe.

When you look at the fees Portsmouth have taken in the last couple of years it makes you wonder where the hell the money went. Didn't they make a clean 10m on Johnson alone?
