    Allardyce: Reds have gone physical

More drivel from the fat fool ahead of our game on Sunday :

Blackburn manager Sam Allardyce thinks Liverpool have adopted the same physical style which Reds boss Rafael Benitez used to criticise his old club Bolton for.

Allardyce claims the Spaniard sent a DVD of what he saw as Bolton's rough play to referees' chief Keith Hackett, but now sees elements of that same physical approach in Liverpool's play as they bid to salvage their season and qualify for next season's Champions League.

Allardyce, whose Rovers side face Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday, told the Daily Mirror: "(Benitez) has used all that stuff that he says he doesn't like. It's ironic isn't it?

"They have had to go back to basics and the pretty stuff goes out the window until you start winning matches.

"I watched them play at Manchester City and they got six players booked, so it shows he's brought the physical side out in them.

"If it's a good physical challenge on Sunday, then I'd be more than happy to go down that route, although I don't really have the players here to do that like I did at Bolton."

Allardyce said Benitez was so riled by Bolton's tactics that he compiled a DVD and sent it to referees' chief Hackett.

"He's had a bee in his bonnet for a while. He's entitled to have his opinion as everyone is and it's nice to have someone complaining about you when you are beating them.

"Because he didn't like it, he found an excuse about how we played. Wenger did it, Mourinho did it, they all do it when they get their backside kicked."

Benitez was criticised by Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson last season for what he saw as a mark of "disrespect" towards Allardyce, when he appeared to gesture that the game between Blackburn and Liverpool at Anfield was over as a contest when Fernando Torres scored their second goal in a 4-0 win.

Allardyce added: "I didn't get an explanation for that. He's his own man and he does things his own way. I didn't particularly like it."

How many of the 6 yellows were actually warranted though?

We are more physical, but I think the Chavs and mancs are quite physical too tbh.

i thought Walton was really poor & how we ended up with 6 yellows i will never know...

and isnt it about time we started fighting back a bit...poor Torres gets kicked all over the place during games and very rarely does anything happen to the opposing players

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

This coming from a man who doesn't seem to ever stop talking about Rafa and made then made a huge fuss about how he reacted to a goal when his own team got thumped!!

He really is a big fat child.

aside from ferguson, allardyce is the manager i enjoy us beating the most. he seems like a truly detestable person on all levels.

Mascher is a thug sometimes, many strikers have gone home with bits missing because of him and Carra isn't shy when it comes to tackles so we are well represented in this department.

                        Rafa should blank him tomorrow.

One of the many things that irks the **** out of me about that thick cunt is how often he talks about the likes of us, Arsenal etc getting our "backsides kicked" by his teams.

I'm not entirely sure on the exact record and I know we had a few problems with his teams initially when Rafa took over, but we've hammered his ****ty teams many many times, yet he still bleats about 'kicking our backsides'. **** off.

Strange he does it to teams managed by foreigners. Maybe he's a ****ing cunt of a racist.

I think aside from that blatant skewing of the facts his comments are to some extent fair enough. Rafa, Fergie, Wenger et al. would all make similar comments when they think that they might lose the physical battle hoping to influence the referee.

Alladyce's delusions of grandeur are starting to become a bit self parodying at this point. I genuinely think if he got rid of the hubris he has (or at least had) the talent to be one of the better British managers of his generation. The thing is that he has become set in his ways which was never the way he worked initially and his unwillingness to try new things or alter his approach has meant that when he has lost key lieutenants like Brown or Lee has been reduced to a very mediocre manager, over taken by the likes of Pulis in all likelihood in terms of recent achievements.
"The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

"I never had an explanation for that" he says of his and Ferguscums embarrassing display over what was an innocent gesture from Rafa, what a prick of a man he is, always has been, and always will be...for ever and ever...Fat Sam! (the scums man)
