Fair play to Lucas. He took a lot of **** last year from the fans which must've really dented his confidence, and he's come back better for it.

Seems to have cut down on giving away silly free kicks in dangerous areas. I just want to see him attack more as we know he can do it (though obviously playing in the holding role it's not his priority to go forward too often).

To be honest, he wasnt hugely noticeable. Solid but didnt make a significant impact. Most notable things i remember are when he lost the ball in his own half in the opening 45 minutes and this led to a dangerous moment for us. And when he was manhandled to the ground. Plus the slightly overhit pass to Torres, which indirectly led to our winner.

I think its a little unfair if the only words you use to describe that pass are 'slightly overhit' - Lucas had to put a lot of pace on the ball as it went right between 2 Blackburn players who could have intercepted it had it been slower. He also hit it close enough to Torres for him to have taken a touch to slow the ball if he needed to.

Your insinuation that what I said is in any way comparable with the football manager getting the sack because of the press is just silly - hence my assumption that you didn't read or understand my post.
