I'm tempted to say I remember seeing Schmeichel in this country but I know what you mean so I won't.

Reina is a fantastic goalkeeper - the best in the Premiership by a mile.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

He's a better keeper than Casillas IMO but is falling foul of the "You play for Real you're in the National Team" mentality in Spain. His threat as an attacking option with his distribution from his own area is unequalled in World football. He's easily in the top 5 in the world if not top 3. It's only this year that everyone unconnected with LFC seems to have realised this.
I have one word to offer - honesty. I couldn't be devious if I tried. Joe Fagan.

To be fair Casillas is also top drawer, he was fantastic and Anfield last year even though we thrashed them

I know what you mean but Casillas is an excellent keeper, I don't recall him doing anything spectacularly wrong when playing for Spain, he's got possession of the shirt so there's no reason for them to drop him. Even if Casillas' distribution is a relative weaknesst's it's not as if Spain are short of attacking options so they need to rely on their goalkeeper to provide one.

It's like when England had Shilton and Clemence. I always thought Clemence was miles better than Shilton but that was just bias.

I have no doubts about Reina, but the Mascher quotes are far from convincing.
