Do players actually sign pay as you play deals these days? Kewell knocked one back with us and it doesn't sound like Aurelio will sign one either.Originally posted by the rev leeroy brown View Postpay as you play deal is a must for fabio. still good back up for a new left cback come summer i reckon. still need 1 more to compete though.

Thinking about it, is there any point in keeping him (even on a pay as you play deal, he's a good player, but that's not the issue. If we (for arguements sake) say Insua is first choice and we have to sign a second left back as cover, what is his role going to be? Yes he can cover in midfield but playing a full back on the wing is a negative tactic and restricts our attacking play. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Depends on other changes really. If we are going to persist in trying to fit in two attacking fullbacks then something else has to change to accommodate them. Personally I think we need to find players or at least one utility defender who can offer a good defensive orientated options on both sides (I think it was a real loss when Arbeloa went).Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostThinking about it, is there any point in keeping him (even on a pay as you play deal, he's a good player, but that's not the issue. If not then in some games a more conservative midfield can be a good answer. In some games Aurelio has come on in midfield and helped in ball retention this season and in the past which whist he may have looked like a defensive substitution has resulted in us having more attacking play.
I'd keep him on a pay as you play deal but unless he is willing to take a much lowered salary then I think the amount of time he spends injured means we should let him leave. Although on my part I will be sad to see him go."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

Is Owen not on one at the minute?Originally posted by banditos View PostDo players actually sign pay as you play deals these days? One thing is that he is a really good pro and good pros are hard to find.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostThinking about it, is there any point in keeping him (even on a pay as you play deal, he's a good player, but that's not the issue. We were close to signing that Torosidis in January, seems like he can play any position between Reina and Torres. Wonder if Rafa is still interested.Originally posted by dww View PostDepends on other changes really. He sounds like a disease.Originally posted by cream View PostWe were close to signing that Torosidis in January, seems like he can play any position between Reina and Torres. Wonder if Rafa is still interested..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

A disease, which you might need cream for?
