Could it be that they are just waiting for the time to come when we start to sell our own tv deals?

They would start to make a massive return on their investment if this were to happen, in proportion to what Madrid make. I guess they would need to sign a big name each year to get the subscribers, and we may even get our new stadium.

But this seems to me to be the money maker, not the stadium.

But should we sell out the rest of the league to get rich?

I prefer the collective contracts, as long as the deal is weighted toward the teams with larger viewership. But perhaps its the only way to bridge the financial gap, as the revenue figures show how far behind we are, despite our fan base

Oh, and to add... Juventus building a new 41,000 seater stadium... Doesnt that seem small?
For Juve? No, they'd probably still fail to fill that too.

I remember reading something about how they even considered relocating the club south as they seemed to have more fans from southern Italy. Nuts.
I've got a friend who lives in Italy and travelled to the quarters in 2005 from the south on a juventus supporters coach, I remember him saying at the time they had more support in the south and thought it strange

I always considered Juve the most popular club in Italy.

Perhaps Liverpool could relocate to Surrey, we have a large, wealthy population, and no professional football team.

Juventus fans tend to be those who are not originally from Torino or Turin as we call it.The locals are all Torino fans.

I could be wrong here that Juventus was formed by immigrants.

I suggest you look at this attendence for Juventus V Arsenal in 2002 in the CL:
            8,562

Which is better than the Copa Italia game against Sampdoria in the same season drawing a stunning 237 people to it.

Juventus exemplify **** ground no fans.

the theory goes that Turin citizens follow Torino. Juventus are massive in Sicily.

a bit like everton that one??

i always like to remind blue noses that when they where in Eurpope (the year they got knocked out of two competitions in two games)

i was driving home along the M6 toll road and it was full of bluenoses driving north. scarfs everywhere.

if they are all from Liverpool why where they on the M6 toll road. a few could have been driving home like me but most i dont think so

                all from liverpool my arse
