Stevie g has been at the heart of everything good that's happened to this once great club over the last 10 years.

But his performances have been nothing short of disgraceful this season , how can a world class player turn into a pub player?

if this is the case--and i'm not saying it is--then he has to be moved on. i think it's entirely possible, and after this season i would no longer think anyone was crazy for cashing in on him. i might disagree, but i'm not sure i would.

so where do the fans sit in all this. at the end of the day, we're still going to be the ones who wind up watching this on the tv and going to the stadiums. do we reckon there will still be the legendary liverpool support for our remaining fixtures?

i could see 3-4 wins coming out of the last 9 games. 4 wins, 3 draws 2 losses is looking about right for us at the moment. how do you support that without going mad, and still maintain the dignity of being liverpool supporters?

At half time I was dissapointed at the lack interest and I thought roll on 2nd half, they will get a right good rollicking, a kick up the arse and come out all guns blazing, but it just never happened.
What happens at half time ? because as far as I can see it appears that someone says keep playing the way your are it will get better, honest.
This year for the first time, I have found myself switching matches off early because thay are playing so poorly and you just know that they are going to get beat, same thing happened last night,
4th place is gone, we just have to hope we qualify for the Europa league. Does the winner of the Europa league get into the Champs league?
I' am not in favour of sacking the manager, he either has to fall on his sword or the board must back him and get him some help because just now he has lost it.

another, ****ing disgraceful performance from back to front. I don't know if it's a lack of quality or confindence, maybe both but even the basics are poor, not just yesterday but in recent weeks, we seem to miss control the ball so often, and even the simple passes into feet seem to go behind the player so he has to stretch -

i'm sorry to say it but thats it for me rafa has to go now - i don't care who comes in either - just something fresh and new is needed - i love the man but he is ****ing lost. Why why why did he not make one or two changes at half time - if someone is having a stinker get them off - poor insua, got ****ing raped by nzogbia every time - gerrard started brightly then just lost interest, a couple of misplaced passes and his head went up his arse - dirk kuyt had a ****ing stinker - i just can't keep going on - woeful. No class, quality, imagination, desire, technical ability, zero pace/penetration - not good enough for 4th, probably not good enough for 5th or 6th - i think we might scrape a result of lille but as soon as we face someone who wants to win the europa cup they will beat us.

It's one big cluster **** - we somehow, need to get this some investmetn for players - 5-6 players, a new manager and a fresh new start with new ideas - keep reina, carragher, agger, johnson, mascherano, gerrard, torres and build a team round them - everyone else is up for sale or kept as squad players.

They wanted to play for this 'negative' manager last season when it was all hunky dory and we were the league's top scorers. So what's ****ing changed?

Enough is enough but I am appalled by most of our players - cowardly, gutless glory boys who only apply themselves properly when the sun is shining on their arses.

I think the rot set in after the first game. A season of so much promise went tits up at Spurs and they lost heart. There's no excuse for that. Teams have won the title having lost the first game but I'm convinced the rot set in there.

It is not black and white and Rafa is not 100% to blame. He's accountable cos he's the manager and he has to go, but I'd sell the majority of these ****houses too. Their attitude is ****ing disgraceful.

I'd allow both Mascherano and Johnson to leave. I'm not convinced that Johnson is that good to be honest, and Mascherano needs to play in a team where the 4/5 players in front of him are all skilled so he can just do what he's amazing at doing - the ugly side of midfield. So I'd reluctantly sell.

Couldn't agree more. The players undoubtedly have to take a fair amount of the blame. Their attitude and commitment has been woeful this season. So true about it all going wrong from day one. In fact I would go further than that and say it started in pre-season! We had a poor pre-season and took it into the first game v Spurs and haven't been right since. I can barely recall a game where I have thought at the end, 'we played really well there'.

Sadly though I now think Rafa has to go in the summer. How often have we seen this situation where a team plays badly, changes the manager, and the same group of players then start to play well. Happens all the time. Sadly somethinig has gone wrong between what is essentially the same group (bar Alonso) who nearly won the league last season, and the manager, and when that happens it is always the players who come out on top. Something is stale at the club and Rafa will pay the price.

Roll on the end of the season so we can get this **** over with.

Probably because our top scorer is Torres, who has played about 3 hours of football all season.

The team that started should have won last night, no question. Although Babel has played as well as anybody over the last month and still doesn't get a start. If anything he's shown that if he's given 10 minutes to get into a game, he can cause real problems.

Had Rafa sacrificed (to steal a phrase from someone else on here i think) graft for craft, and picked personnel on form we could have blown them away.

I'm struggling to make a case for Rafa now to be honest. He should know what it takes to win a Premiership game and he continually botches it with selection and tactics.
