Pellegrini favourite to become the next Liverpool boss

Liverpool will appoint Manuel Pellegrini as their next manager. Reports from Pellegrini's home land Chile are that the former Real Madrid manager will sign a deal with Liverpool early next week.

Pellegrini was appointed manager of Real Madrid in front of the 2009-2010 season with two specific tasks, to win the Primera and the Champions League.

None of the goals were reached and then everyone knows what happens at Real. Jose Mourinho has taken over from Pellegrini who was sacked shortly after the season ended in Spain.

Pellegrini has a great cv as a manager and as a player he played his whole career with Universidad. Pellegrini (56) came to Europe in 2004 taking over Villareal. He had a great run as Villareal manager until 2009 when Real Madrid asked for his services.

The fact that a club like Real asks for you makes you special, and Pellegrini will be a great choice of manager at Liverpool if this source of information is correct.

Pepe Reina will most certainly like the appointment, being a former player managed by Pellegrini, and it would also be wise to not tear down everything Rafael Benitez build in a way to get a smooth transfer from the previous manager, also inspired by the Spanish play of life.

Every fan of Liverpool would probably welcome a return of Kenny Dalglish but as we all know not every return of a former great manager will end the same way as it was before.

if we are to believe things, it may all end up with a world class manager and plenty of cash. or neither of these and no players.

I guess it's still all press speculation at the moment the fact that different sources are publishing different things suggests no-one really knows what's going on.

I guess we just have to keep our fingers crossed and wait...
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Would give very serious thought to adding Skysports to my boycott should Hodgson take over.
                        3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Why Skysports? They're not the ones appointing him.

Fabio Capello will resign if his England side fail to qualify for the knockout stages of the World Cup. One of Fulham's Roy Hodgson or Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp would be his likely replacement.

Fed up, don't want to watch us getting raped & need to save money as having a extension.

Giving up most likely won't happen though...
