I bet if we had brought Kenny into the job in January we would have made that top 4 place instead of stick with another few months of Rafa's **** tactics
here we go again. liking and supporting rafa = 7th is good enough, 19 losses is acceptable, oh and he never made any mistakes.

though i dont think people have said that. what those of us who wanted him to have another year see is there are reasons fot these things and that we think he would turn it round next season. plenty of managers have had a bad season and then gone on and upwards from there. look at moyes everton could have sacked him on more than one occaision.

your argument for the fact that kenny could do the job is he goes to games and was good 15 - 20 years ago. lets get george graham? or has the game moved on????

        only interested in liverpool?

manager of Blackburn, newcastle and tech director of Celtic?

i know we are his favourite club and the one that matter above all others but he hasnt managed for 15 years. the names you mention have virtually been in permanent employment learning and evolving with the game.

Whether he can do well now or not is something we just cannot be sure on. What we can be sure of is that he didn't exactly do that well in his last two managers jobs at Newcastle and Celtic.

I'm all for giving him the chance if he feels he's up to it. I just don't want to see him tarnishing his legend status with us in any way whatsoever.

George Graham? WTF are you talking about? We wouldn't have hired him 20 years ago we wouldn't hire him today so I don't know what your talking about. Why do people feel the need to pick random **** managers from nowhere as if to say we would ever actually hire them. Your not seriously trying to compare King Kenny to George ****ing Graham? Your just talking gibberish, don't talk to me please

george graham never won anything? oh he did i dont like the man dont like his football either but when kenny was winning things as a manager so was george graham. so the comparison whilst possibly flawed does have its validity

Graham was a successful manager at the same time that Dalglish was last a successful manager. If you think Dalglish could do well in the current climate, do you think the same about George Graham?

Sure it's been posted, but Guus's agent says:

"Guus just started two weeks ago in Turkey and as much as he likes the Premier League and as much as he respects Liverpool as a legendary club with a great future ahead, a switch would be hardly doable," added van Nieuwenhuizen.
"Two weeks ago for the same reason he refused the position at Inter Milan post Jose Mourinho.
"I know, never say never and especially in football this is true, but for me this is an impossible thought."
                  [lloyd]So you're saying there's a CHANCE![christmas]

                    because it has moved on.

we may not want it to but the King last managed 15 years ago. It doesnt make him a great manager now.
After a trip to Anfield this Season I remember one thing that an old guy said to me whilst in Aldos place he said, Rafa has over complicated things, football is a simple game. I couldn't argue with that.

Hogson, Fergie, Capello, Van Gaal etc are all in and around the same age as Kenny.

Whatever you say Matt. Rafa's gone, he failed, get over it. Let go. Rafa may be a great man and a top top coach but he's not been doing a good enough job for various reasons.

And yes to say Dalglish wouldn't be able to cut it anymore, suggesting that he wouldn't understand todays game is being disrespectful. But i'll put that down to your love for Rafa clouding your judgement

you might have quoted the wrong person lol

i know what the fan means. shanks said football is a simple game etc. however i will mention clough. his mantra was very much that. however to the end of his career his staff actually managed his team as his simple approach was not enough any more. capello van gaal maureen etc etc they will have some complicated game plans. as i say the game has moved on.

I agree last season was not good enough, but I still don't think he failed.

Nope, it is merely that he has not been involved for such a long time and absolutely nothing to do Rafa or a lack of respect.
