Be interesting to see how pally everyone is with him if he takes over. Before the UEFA Cup final Channel 5 showed a load of managers - such as Ferguson, Moyes, Redknapp and others - all sending their cringeworthy messages of support.
And the press. They all love Roy too, everyone loves Roy. A few defeats and that'll soon ****ing change.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
I just can't see him in anyway but a step down and i'm sure in about 12 months we'll be looking for another manager, assuming he's given the job of course.
Still in shock that Rafa has actually left. Gutted.
Our club is an absolute ****ing shambles and i really do despair over our future. Every time i switch on the computer, tv or radio i expect more bad news. I almost dont want the World Cup to end as it will, in effect, be the start of the fire sale. I'd be utterly amazed if Gerrard, Torres, Masch are still here next year.
Hodgson seems a nice guy and talks a lot of sense but is he really the best we can do after Rafa? Sadly i think the answer is yes.
Was reading today that there are two parties very interested in buying the club but simply wont pay 800 million and to be fair why the **** should they? How can our club be worth that?
'Religion is killing each other over who has the best imaginary friend'
Never really built a dynasty anywhere has he. He's had SEVEN jobs since the turn of the century - this would be his eighth FFS!
Maybe both parties are happy to view this as a relatively short term arrangement?
It's a possibility man, it might be a steady the ship job with Hodgson.
Aside from the fact i stuck £50 on Hodgson to be our manager at 4-1 id be relatively happy if it happened.
At the end of the day Mourinho, Hiddink, Capello, Van Gaal and many other more high profile managers are unavailable for one reason or another.
And it's not as if Hodgson isn't highly experienced.
He's been around the block and with Fulham he's produced miracles, of you cant compare Fulham and LFC but still, it shows he has something about him.

There would be riots outside Anfield if they were sold.
We simply couldn't recover if our three best players left.
