how glorious would it be if, just after the whistle on an away win at old toilet, bilic shook fergie's hand, dropped a cigarette on the pitch and stepped on it, then picked up a guitar and started playing back in black in the PA? can we make this happen?

Iv made up my mind, I think its vital that King Kenny becomes or new manager, at least until the two cnuts sell up. He is the only manager out there in the running that will have the best for the club at heart.
I fear that Woy or any other manager would be a YES man for the cnuts that own our club.

End of the day, no matter who the boss is, they are powerless if the yanks decide not to release funds or if they decide to overrule the manager and accept transfer bids from other clubs for our players.

My point was, any manager we have will have to do as he's told, because ultimately, in decisions such as transfer budgets and whether or not bids from other clubs are accepted, the manager holds no real power.Originally posted by kingfunk View Post"Someone who always agrees with authority and does what he's told."

What i mean is a manager who is afraid to let it be known that he is not been backed by the board which im full sure will happen while these two are in charge. In other words I want a manager who will not let up the pressure on the owners or let them take an easy ride, Woy I feel is a bit too "Nice", I would rather MON as he has proved he will not let a clubs owners take the easy route by demanding show down talks with learner before the summer. But if we are not going to be going for any A list managers my preferred option would be Kenny, there is no doubt of his love for the club and its a punt that could be the ace in the pack or it could fall flat, but its a punt I would back just to see King Kenny on the touch line for the first game of the season, I think there is as much of a chance of it working out as there is of it not working out.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostMy point was, any manager we have will have to do as he's told, because ultimately, in decisions such as transfer budgets and whether or not bids from other clubs are accepted, the manager holds no real power.

If that means Kenny taking over then let's get it sorted, now.
I've become convinced that he is the only one who will be able to keep the club going whilst the current regime is in place.

kenny on a short term deal would be the best outcome till G&H go.
hodgson is overrated and the rest being linked wouldnt come to us in this situation i reckon.People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

Despite that I have been rating Hodgson quite highly for a few years now for of his international experience I am getting more and more convinced that it may be best for King Kenny to take over.
He's got the stature to convince the key players to stay, not pander to the current owners, quieten the old boys, keep the fans loyal and possibly even build a bridge for a new ownership to take over one day which then will start rebuilding our club in sincerety.
I was concerned he may risk his reputation and fail but if he really believes he can do the job, who am I to argue with that. He certainly wouldn't do it for the money or his ego nor his own career. Once you reached his status there is not much left you can achieve for yourself.

I just can't see this. Why only a short term arrangement? What would that achieve? It has to be all or nothing. Stop gaps are ****.Originally posted by the rev leeroy brown View Post

Why would players stay or sign if they know Kenny is only a stop gap?
Otherwise we'll have the same situation of looking for a manager in 6-12 months time. And who'll be available then? I don't see any managers in the world with the possible exception of Jose that would be guaranteed to make us better. If Kenny takes the reigns it has to be for at least 3 years.
If money were no object I'd still opt for british this time. I see no evidence that any of the foreign names being mentioned would get it right where Rafa failed. He's a top european coach yet couldn't quite crack the league. You'd have to be going down the road of 5 years plans again, well **** that.Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde
