Is it just me or does it seem increasingly more likely that our New Manager is currently at the World cup with one of the Big national teams ... personally I am amazed Cappelo has not been mentioned to much yet

That could perhaps be the most obvious reason to why no-one bothers mentioning him...

yep he had something removed from it if i'm right that makes it easier for him to leave after world cup,and it confirms he will be in charge for the euros.
the only manager at the world cup that i like the look of is lippi,i doubt he'd come here.

I've got a feeling something is afoot .. ie purchase with incoming World Cup National Manager as part of the deal .. otherwise .. Kenny would have been introduced by now, hes tailor made for the ****ing god awful mess this once proud football club has become.

Man I feel sorry for the guy because he will have some job on his hands, I dont doubt his credentials but i fear on top of everthing else going against him from the offing, he may suffer from Avram Grant Syndrome .. ie because he is not Jose or Got that X factor .. no matter how well he does he will receive little credit or love from all concerned

He'll be seen as the owners stooge, a manager willing to come with no big contract, no transfer kitty, just because he wants one last big job on his cv, he must know it won't be a long term appointment, and is only being targeted as an interim till the club is sold, add to that, the fact that if he'd said no for these reasons, the owners may have had to appoint Kenny.

I like the man, but i like him not being Liverpool manager.

He may turn down the job because of the above though, he's not an idiot and if we can see whats going on at the club then he certainly knows more from the internal pipeline.

i wonder if SOS would consider a small campaign to make it aware that most of us want Kenny, or some kind of group. If hogson found out that he wasnt really wanted he wouldnt come at all

More worrying possibility - the new manager is one that the owners know the fans will not approve of, so they are delaying the announcement until they've got the season ticket money in. Klinsmann's still available isn't he? Maybe Gillett has convinced Hicks that they should have gone with his instinct in the first place
