Well, we're used to that kind of thinking at Liverpool.

he's a snake, the kind of which we've seen too many of around this club for the last few years. He was brought in the find 100 million investment for the owners,he didn't so why is he still here.Another Parry trying to find deals which protect his job.He needs to **** off with the rest of the snakes at the top of our club.
In all fairness, Rafa played exactly the same game with the media and has done ever since he put his foot in the door. All those crying about how we have washed our dirty linen in public should take a moment to look at all the stories that have come via Rafa Benitez.

It has been spin v spin for far too long at this football club. We have all know for some time how bad the owners are, there is no need to be telling this the press every second of the day. He lived by the media game and he's now died by the same game.

With regards Purslow, he has failed to sell the club, but let's be honest. It is like trying to sell a rusty old banger of a car for 25k, it is a complete non starter. Hopefully Broughton has had the Yanks come to their senses as has been reported in the press.

To underline some points, I'm not a great fan of Purslow, I just fail to see what he has done wrong other than sacking rafa whilst he was on holiday.

Ahh Purslow is this the "We spent £20 million NETT last season" Mr Purslow

He can **** off alongwith his masters

No class no dignity and a lying ****ing snake to boot

Hes a complete ****ing ****house just like Hicks & Gillett, seems to be a prerequisite of being a member of the executive board

You may fail to this like many others on here, but actually coming out and saying the club is ****ed and going down hill does not do wonders for the club.

It was why I was so annoyed at Rafa. Coming out and saying we need 5-6 players to be competitive is a joke, especially when he knew we did not have a pot to piss in, never mind fund the purchases for 5 ****ing players.

People at the top of the club should always pretend things are better than they are. No one wants to hear we are mid table at best and have no hope of improving. We all know it, we don't need to be told it.

I'm not asking for that, I am asking him to behave like he has the best interests of the team on the pitch and the support of the fans at heart. Instead, Purslow, for all of the fine deals he did with a new kit sponsor, etc, has let his own ego and emotion get in the way of making rational, executive decisions for Liverpool FC.

You cannot fire Rafa Benitez because he talks back to you unless you have a way to make an improvement with a superior manager. Benitez has given more to the club than Purslow will ever give in his entire life, but he didn't like the backtalk and began a campaign in the press to unsettle Rafa and force him out.

Look, we did not set the world on fire on the pitch last year, fair enough. But if you're going to make a change, do it rationally, fairly, with a ****ing spine and for the betterment of the team. How is this situation we are in now superior to having Rafa in the press asking for money to buy players? It is far worse; we are a ****ing shambles and it is because Purslow couldn't suck it up and get Rafa on board with a reasonable plan to improve the team. Why? He doesn't have a plan to improve the team; name one thing Purslow has said or done that you feel has made THE TEAM ON THE PITCH better? Nothing; his ****ing £80 million pound kit sponsorship deal doesn't even cover our debt payments for **** sake.

So, we are now in a worse position than we've ever been in and it is because Purslow, Broughton and the cunt owners don't know how to properly manage a football club. They are dealmakers and, like all deal makers (and I've worked for plenty) they are enamored of the press, of the "perception" of the club over the actual value and reality of what is ACTUALLY HAPPENING. This is why I hate him, because he not only sells us the lie, he seems to believe it himself because he's gonna get paid. **** him.

Probably the single best post I've read since being on this forum.

Purslow briefed the media to try and turn fans against Rafa so he could sack him.He didnt need to,we can make our mind up on the manager by what we see on the field and many of us did.Sadly many others are influenced by all the **** they see in the red tops and on sky which is exactly the gallery Purslow played to.

Rafa also briefed the media yes but for entirely admirable reasons. He couldnt criticise the way the club is run in public so he had to do it via "leaks".Whether you liked his style of football or not, whether you thought he should stay or should go,fact is Rafa was the only one in the club's top brass fighting for whats needed to get ahead on the pitch.

And he was sacked because of that fact, not cos last season was ****.

PS: I gave you plenty of other reasons why Purslows a cunt

Do they? They really seem to have their finger on the pulse, these club sources. More spin by the management... according to the press, this has been a premise of their pursuit of Hodgson all along; somehow Purslow thinks that Hodgson will unite the dressing room. why? Because Purslow wants an Englishman in there? He wants to do business with someone who speaks the language and will politely do what he's told? "Hey, if anyone can do it, it's Roy. He will unite the dressing room."

                    Will he, ****?

I have worked for people like this my whole life, you can see right through them; they believe their position protects them from scrutiny and that somehow common sense and other people's actual knowledge of what is required will be put aside because they know best.

I have nothing against Hodgson as a man other than to believe without seeing him manage my team that he is not what my club requires to make an ambitious push for titles. Purslow and Broughton, on the other hand, need to be removed from this team before their blinkered, bunkered "I know best" and "what does the press say about it?" mentality destroys the team. Yes, you know sponsorships deals and maybe you know how to sell off a debt-laden club with your rolodex of billionaires, but you know **** all about how to manage the footballing side of a football club. How is this happening?!?! Know-it-all Businessmen... the scourge of sport. **** me.

Hodgson demands war chest before committing to Liverpool

Roy Hodgson will be appointed Liverpool boss this week once he has finalised a guaranteed transfer kitty.

Liverpool are prepared to meet Fulham’s compensation demands to name Hodgson, 62, as Rafa Benitez’s successor.

But the former Inter Milan and Switzerland manager wants a pledge of transfer funds before accepting the post.

Hodgson knows Liverpool’s squad badly needs rebuilding after a desperately disappointing campaign.

But he is worried that the cash-strapped club, who are around £400million in debt, may not be able to back him sufficiently in the transfer market. Liverpoool’s US owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett have both admitted they are looking to sell the Premier League giants.

Liverpool also explored the possibility of recruiting Frank Rijkaard from Galatasaray but the Dutchman earns £6m a year and has a £2m buy-out clause.

Former England boss Sven Goran Eriksson is favourite to replace Hodgson at Craven Cottage.
