There is nothing surprising about that, this 'sideways only' stuff is just blinkered bull****. He often feeds forward balls into feet and he's been the same tonight.Originally posted by JohnDoe View PostLUCAS Watch

I knew someone would get their knickers in a twist over that comment. For what it's worth, Johnson's ball was excellent and picked him out well.
Earlier on you were telling me not to read what i wanted to read in other people's posts. Take your own advice.

To be fair, his sideways/sideways/backwards mantra shows up in home games when we have a lot of possession. Only reason he hasn't made a lot of passes is that he hasn't seen much of the ball.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostThere is nothing surprising about that, this 'sideways only' stuff is just blinkered bull****. Torres is on a different level to everyone else on the pitch, shame he doesn't have the support apart from babel occasionly. gerrard and kuyt have been gash (although better than against wigan).
if we actually had someone who could make use of torres dragging three or more players onto him, and make runs into the free space, and if we had someone who could actaully pass the ball on the ground insted of hoofing it randomly, we'd be leading by a couple of goals right now.Jürgen Klopp

Johnson ball was good, I am not knocking him. If it was excellent ball Lucas would have scored, The pace and height of the ball made it difficult to bring downOriginally posted by Craig_H View Post
