What has happened to Rafa the 'tinkerman'??
Not long ago he made changes in 99 consecutive games now he picks the same shower who lost to Wigan (virtually, Maxi unavailable and Agger ill for the Wigan game)
I'm Babel's no.1 critic but him and Johnson were the only players trying to help and support Torres, how Riera got brought on for Babel is beyond me and as for Kuyt he looks like he has ran himself into the ground and seeing as he generally only offers effort and no quality when his effort is gone he is truely ****e
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

but this is the thing, i dont think he has ever been brave? we have always played the same from corners......we always never leave a man up when the oppo have corners ( my pet hate!! )
I am thinking back to that well oiled machine of last season and remember we had some sterling performances when alonso wasnt playing as well and cannot fathom for the life of me whats changed.
this team, the attitude, and as for steven Gerrard .....dont get me started, there is a reason we all look to stevie G its because he is a world class player but pnce again woeful.
Stevie G or Rafa owes us an explanation on this.....i remember in seasons gone by, both Rafa and Stevie talking about how he needs to up his form, well quite frankly when Lucas is having a better season than you, its time to man up and face us and tell us what the uck is going on!!
Just a thought, does no champions league next season strengthen or weaken the Yanks relationship with RBS? Especially after what Purslow has been reported to have said about the over evaluation of the club by the owners.
Does losing out to forth spot to one of possibly 3 teams, that have spent big in recent years, not highlight the need to keep investing in strengthening the team?
Was it not Rafa who first highlighted the fact that all was not well in the boardroom, and continued to do so until his new wopping 5 year contract effectively put a stop to his off the party line comments.
I don't know, maybe I'm grabbing at straws, but I really hope he's playing a bigger game than just this season. What ever you think of him as a manager, he does seem to be more of a man of principle and stubborn ethics, and hope he's using the term 'do your talking on the pitch not the papers' quite literally.
If you mean he's deliberately losing on the pitch, to prove that the owners need to invest in the team, then that's gross misconduct and he's a complete cunt for doing it.
