Do you get the feeling of deja-vu with the present crisis...........I see parallels of our incredibly poor form with both the time of the decline of Houllier and pretty much all of the time with Souness.....?

Kind of but neither had to deal with the surreal situation of ownership and nonn existant transfer budgets.
I think both where probably fairly well backed in the market compared to the wheeling and dealing rafa has to deal with.
I think rafas job as a whole is a lot more complex, maybe thats part of the problem.

Of course it feels the same as when Houllier left, this has died a death now mate no offence but everyone know's this already.Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

Always, keep your face to the sun, and shadows will fall behind you.

i feels the same in that we are not playing that well and the fans in general just want the season to end.......
however, souness had as much money to spend as anyone in england at the time.....and fecked it up....
houllier needed only one or two players and bought diouf, diao and cheyrou - that fecked him up - duff would have done.....
rafa has to contend with man city, chelsea, man united all having much more money to spend. He also has the fact that the ownership debacle is dragging on and on and on.......
he also has to contend with a desperate luck with injuries this season with aurelio, agger, skrtel, gerrard, riera, benayoun, torres all spending long spells on the sidelines this season.......
this should all be taken into account......
yes, i agree that he has made mistakes, aquilani and johnson are 2 of them - but we are liverpool fc, we stick by our own, this is the man who missed his own fathers funeral in order to be with the team before our world club championship matches....... get behind the manager until the end of the season and we will see how it spans out....... we will have more of a chance of winning football matches with our fans - the famous 12th man - firmly behind both the team and the manager.....
COME ON..........LET'S BE HAVIN' YA

Can't disagree with almost all of that........it is particularly painful when we were so close last season. I also have always regretted the sale of Arbeloa....as our right back position is presently just crap!Originally posted by frank the tank View Posti feels the same in that we are not playing that well and the fans in general just want the season to end.......
