He was Rafa's right hand man, they'd worked together since Tenerife and Rafa trusted him like a brother. Pako, apparently had a whinge behind Rafa's back and then he was gone. The players adored him, as he took all their crap and Rafa's crap and mixed it all up.

i think pako going didn't help the alonso situation, they were supposedly very close.
so i have to agree that the man leaving didn't improve things.

We have discussed Rafas lack of man managements skills before, and he needs a coach in between to whom the players can go to with problems, as he doesnt seem to want to have much to do with the players apart from football related matters. He likes to keep hs distance.
