He got 14 goals in the PL last year. If we sell him I might leave - this guy is bigger than the club imo.Yes folks, that's how proud I am of him playing for us! If he was fit for a whole season he'd get 30 in the league alone. He, imo, is the best player in the world.
Torres is great and awesome. but whats really scary is i feel he has lots of room for improvement, his first touch, passing and heading. class i love him. would be even better if he had a partnership with someone else upfront. but i guess my prediction for him is off this season.

I'm just glad it didn't go to extra time with the united game on the weekend. But it was a good show by the players and by the crowd to, really gave the players a lift.

Amazing how our 2 best performances come so late in the season

Let's not try and kid ourselves that Lille were whipping boys, because they're not. Portsmouth, granted, cannon-fodder, but this lot are a decent side and that was a good result, make no mistake.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Yep another good performance on the whole. The passing has looked a lot crisper in these last 2 games and I think Glen Johnson has played his part in that; he's a valuable outlet on the right.

Was pleased to see Insua play better and with more confidence too, maybe we need to wheel Maradona into the stadium for each of the remaining games.

Insua was gonna get in my top three for MOM until two mistakes late on blotted his copybook slightly. But still, it was much better and back to the sort of form he showed last season and earlier this. There's a player in there somewhere.

Of course it's true...but i'm sure the people posting know that....it's not anyones place to constantly remind them of facts that they are aware of, ffs, someone always sees it as their job to bring any nice feeling about a good win to an end.

Good win, well played, well managed, well done.

If he can learn to use that 'layer' to his advantage...a la 'Molby', then he'll become a better player.

really good performance.............all we need now is for one of the players to bad mouth the team every week and see the team pull together.

torres was simply sublime last night but looked ****ed after 70 mins - would love to have seen him rested for the really important game onsunday.

gerard had hustle and bustle about him again which is great to see.

babel is a new man and it feels great to stick two fingers up to all those who doubted him.......great game last night.

lucas........brilliant last night.....nothing else needed to say except why has rafa constricted him to a defencsive role for 3 years that he obviously does not want nor like to play. if thats how he performs as pasrt of a 4-1-4-1 formation then i say play him in that role for good. ( of course i'm expecting rafa to go 4-2-3-1 on sunday and restrict his play gain )

all in all, a good performance and hopefully a bit of confidence for sunday.
People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

Good performance - lots of positives. Torres is simply incredible - best striker in the world. It was also Gerrard's best performance perhaps of the season, while Lucas and Babel both did well - Babel workrate was again excellent and let's hope the penny has dropped (finally).

Exactly we only need one Defensive Midfielder and Mascha is that man.
