    The Chelsea game scenario

Didn't think this would become a genuine possibility, now its looking highly likely.

How do people feel about this?

    Your thoughts please.
Brandt - Keita - Van Dijk - Sessegnon

Well its not as important now because we will be well off 4th with no chance realistically of it so I say let the chavs win. Anything that stops the scum getting 19.

Never thought I'd say it, ever, but the way I feel right now I'd happily chuck the game. The Mancs overtaking us would be hugely significant and ****ing depressing beyond belief. We'd never hear the end of it. Sometimes the bigger picture is more important and I wouldn't bat an eyelid if we lost and it meant Chelsea stopped them winning the league.

**** them anyway, Arsenal are our only hope.

Roll over now that fourth is all but gone.

I agree with Shaggy,I think Arsenal are our best hope of pipping the Mancs for the title.

Heads need to roll at our own club. This is turning out to be a real watershed season in the history of the club, for all the wrong reasons.

I don't trust Arsenal to handle the pressure. I also think we should throw the game but I get the feeling its such a smalltime thing to do. Another season out of the CL will have a big impact on the club and there is no guarantee that we'd be back in the following season.

Who really thinks we would win even if we tried? Dont think there is much point worrying about it.

I think if we're still in contention we have to try and win it, I'm not sure we will be. We'll know alot more by the time the game comes around, but it's likely to be on Sky so could be on a Sunday so we could know the weekends results. Everyone will only have one game to play except for City and Spurs (who play one another later in the week). It's a pity that game wasn't earlier as I feel after that game we'll know who'll get the 4th spot.

I'd hate top see the Scum get to 19 but I think we'd have sort ourselves out, I do have a horrible feeling we'll take points off Chelsea to had the scum the title, but still not get 4th, which is the nightmare scenario.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

If there's any chance of us still getting 4th going into that game then obviously we have to do all we can to win the game even if it helps Man U win #19. But I reckon the Chelsea game will be academic in that respect.

It is small-time but it's a proud record and I'd do anything to keep it at least level until we sort ourselves out. They are not that ****ing good and four consecutive league titles would be a damning indictment on our league. We should've won it last year and this season it's sickening that we are so poor we cannot capitalise on the poor standard at the top. Galling.

Isn't that just delaying the inevitable though? The way our club is run at the moment I can't see us competing for the league in the near future, it's just a matter of time until the scum get that 19th title.

Well to be honest id rather get fourth spot and let the mancs get one up on us because if we dont finish fourth we could struggle for years while they notch two three or four titles up on us.

                            Unfortunately this is probably true

But the other issue of the Scum getting a record 4 titles on the bounce and then inevitably being rated as one of the best teams of all time

Maybe so but they're in dire straits off the pitch too and their team really isn't that good. Chelsea and Arsenal will always be up there, City are joining the party....so it wouldn't be cut and dried.
