I bet we will be out of the running for 4th and yet our players will go give the performance of their lives and smash chelsea, hand united the title and then do their lap of honour all proud of themselves

I don't really see the point in throwing the game, nor do I think it's anywhere close to what a good sport should have in it. Also I think our lads are so pro's that they won't lose a game on purpose (they do that quite well in normal mode). I would feel sick if we lost the game on purpose and I would loose a lot for our bunch of players, and if someone did it to us there would be an uproar.

The way it looks right now it's only a matter of time before the scum overtake us, if not this season then in the coming years considering we are far from being able to compete with them off pitch.

That said I hope Arsenal can keep up and win the league, they are the most sympathetic team of the 3 in contention, and at least that gives hope we have a chance every 10 years or so with the right investment in youth players and they get the needed time on the pitch!

I don't think that's the case, one of their games in hand is against each other so they can't go 7 and 8 points ahead by winning them. Both City and Spurs have to play Arsenal and the Scum as well as each other, Spurs also have to play Chelsea, while City also have to play Everton and Villa. There's potential for them to drop points in those games. It's certainly out of our hands at this stage, all we can do is win our own games and see what happens, if we do that I still think we have a realistic chance, however I think we are likely to slip up in our remaining games and I don't think that is something we can afford to do!

Never thought I'd say it, ever, but the way I feel right now I'd happily chuck the game. The Mancs overtaking us would be hugely significant and ****ing depressing beyond belief. We'd never hear the end of it. Sometimes the bigger picture is more important and I wouldn't bat an eyelid if we lost and it meant Chelsea stopped them winning the league.

Unfortunately its inevitable and only a matter of time. If its not this year, they'll win it again soon enough, we on the other hand look as far away from winning it as ever.

I cant believe the negativity on this thread. If we keep Torres and make a few decent signings (why not?) we can definitely be back in the hunt again. We have played poorly, had some really abysmal luck and with some investment will continue to be a massive club. Things will get better.
There are great traditions here. The club is legendary.

I'd rather us have 4th and them win the league than us finish 5th and Chelsea win the league.

I think they'll take us pretty soon anyways, the title for us is miles away again. Would also likely get the monkey of our backs.

That said, I think Arsenal will win the league, and have been saying the same to my mates for a few weeks now.
