Did you enjoy all those many times when he ran straight into Sunderland players like a blind man in a blindfold wearing clown shoes? And those couple of times when he cut inside, had no idea what to do with it, and did a sort of nonchalant flick with his right foot, flicking the ball inside directly to a Sunderland player without a Red shirt in sight?!

Babel has been one of our better players recently and played well on Sunday.

2nd half he was complete garbage after a decent first half. He's still nowhere near the player he thinks he is although his improved attitude has been good to see. Not before time of course.

But still, wherever Ryan's motivation is coming from I think he has been much better recently, worked hard, looked pretty dangerous and chipped in with the odd goal.

Haha Babel was useless yesterday, he was probably our worst player in an otherwise excellent team performance. He kept running in blind alleys. It's not that he's not skillfull but that he doesn't have the football intelligence to develop himself into a better player.

Exactly ...just seems to sum him up. Yesterday I called him a giraffe on skates which also seemed apt. So many moves break down with Babel trying....er....well, not even he knows what he's trying to do. I loved that time yesterday when he bungled his way past a couple of defenders when he had absolutely no idea what he wanted to do with it. Nor did the defenders, so he just sort of stumbled through them

And the amount of times he jumps or moves out of the way of a 50/50 ball is just embarrassing.

All I would say is that maybe he should have been given more of a run as a CF, playing off the shoulder of the last defender he could be a threat. Maybe not.

To be honest I think he'd be better on the right side, on the left it seems he's never sure what to do, I'd like to see him play a few games on the right, to see if he's better there.

whilst i wouldn't say he was completley useless - he was probably our worst player yesterday - though, i would say that is harsh - he wasn't bad as such, just happened that the other 10 on the pitch played better

Babel, has improved lately, certainly in terms of attitude and work rate - and probably because the world cup is coming up -though he needs a brain and fast - otherwise he will just continue as he has.

He was, our play didn't flow as much when the ball was played to him, he kept slowing it down and his movement was nowhere good enough. He actually never managed to put himself in one good position all match despite the Sunderland defence being all at sea. I just can't see how you can take anything positive out of his performance, apart from the fact that he wasn't substituted.
