    Aldridge was signed at some point through the 1986/1987 season and played a part in the middle/end of that season I believe. That's why I said 1987/88 was his second season, sort of. Even so if you're counting FULL seasons - He still did very well in 1988/89 which was his second Full season as well.

        Carragher wasn't very good until he spent a year out with broken legs. He seemed to understand the subtleties and his reading of the game was much better after this.

        Bergkamp (in fact most of the arsenal team since then until now) remember the mocking of their kids last year? Well look at those same kids this year!

        Drogba, Ronaldo, Agger, Aurelio, Lucas, Gomes at Spurs, Riera was much better with us than at City, Tevez has got better and better, Macherano at West Ham was one of the worlds great enigmas

        The absolute cream (except Robinho) will always rise to the top, but for everyone else there's an adjustment to be made, some adjust quicker than others.
