Priority signing for the summer?

We know we most likely won't be seeing huge investment in the summer and nobody knows exactly how much we'll be able to spend, but planning ahead what do you think we need to prioritise, position-wise?

We've got Jovanovic(sp) in the bag so where should the bulk of the money go? A more dynamic left-back, the wide player we've been after for years or an out and out striker to give extra options up front? Or something else entirely?

Personally I can't decide, I could make a case for all three positions so I'm interested in others' thoughts

he definitely signed a pre contract in February. Whether you can get out of a pre contract i do not know?

depends how much if any money we have - if this jovanovic has already signed, well hopefully thats the extra striker we are desperate for.

After that, Left back has to be the priority - top class left back, with insua as back up.

In an ideal world - we'd get a top class left winger too - especially now it looks like riera will be sold.

I think i remember reading that the lad from Liege was one of those who played as a striker OR a left sided midfielder/forward etc.

According to .no (who got it from the tabloids) says no pre-contact has been signed. The reason for the doubts is allegedly that Jovanovic wants to be sure that Rafa is still here after the summer. According to Rafa there are still talks going on.

We need another striker - not only to vary it a bit up front during games but also someone who can get goals when Torres is injured.

We need to sort out the left side a winger to replace Riera and a left back to replace Aurelio (as it seems he's on his way). We also need a striker if Jovanovic deal isn't sorted yet.

Unfortunately I think this will eat up most (if not all) of the funds we'll have, and basically all we've done is replace outgoing players, not really strengthen the squad

LB and CF are the priorities IMO.

Whilst Ngog has done ok I think we definitely need another top level striker not just to come in and do a job when Torres is out, but to play alongside him in a proper 4-4-2.

Aren't these deals only ever announced in the summer as I thought nothing was officially sorted until they sign an actual playing contract; which can only be done once their current deal has expired, thus avoiding any conflict of interest. But even if the player has agreed a pre-contract, either party can still back out until the playing contract is signed?
