Go there. Get a draw. Destroy them at Anfield.

However we need to keep the momentum going and a defeat sets us back yet again.

Lucas & Mascherano in CM with Gerrard off Torres? I'd think so. Maybe change it at the weekend, go for it at Brum. Maxi will be a big miss for this game, he'd be perfect for it.

Gonna be a big game in front of a mad crowd. Di Maria, Aimar, Cardozo, Saviola et al are no mugs - suddenly this tin pot competition feels proper.
I'd be tempted to go with the team from the Sunderland game with Aquilani replacing Maxi - make it more Kuyt on the right, Babel on the left.

I can see the argument for the Lucas/Mascherano partnership too. I suspect it is much more likely as well. The problem in my mind is that neither Gerrard nor Babel make the sort of short movements that help Lucas out and I don't like it when Kuyt comes too deep. I guess Benayoun could be used.

Agree with the majority that a score draw will do me.

I've been thinking and I actually wonder whether Babel and Lucas might combine quite well. Lucas likes balls into the channels as an out ball and Babel seem to religiously have a wide starting position of late. They also worked well together in the win against Newcastle last year from memory.

Rafa should keep his team talk to just 3 words.

                          Attack, attack, attack

We're more than capable of demolishing them. I would go all out attack in this game - Benfica might have outplayed Everton, but they're not a skilful footballing side. Play to our strengths and we can brush them aside, show them respect and we'll come unstuck.
