To create a successful boycott? Nowhere near.

Unfortunately for SOS, a big portion of the 45k odd inside anfield for an average game, arent on football based internet forums.

aye as someone else mentioned - maybe the cup games would've been better - or if we weren't in the position we are in with regards the league - yeah it could work....

but it comes down to what happens on the pitch at the end of the day......and i'd be ****ing gutted, if we had a fans boycott, and empty stadium, and then got beat by west ham and missed out 4th by 1 point!

it's jut a bit too much cut your nose off too spite your face.

I don't know what the answer is.... i don't know all the ins and outs of how the finances work but i do knw that the yanks clearly realise they are hated, and they clearly don't give a ****.

      * - if youi click on "go advanced" below the quick reply box, it then opens your message in what looks more like a word box - along the top there is a smiley face icon, click on that and it would give you all the different faces etc
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

sorry - i was just talking in general - people know who they are

but yeah no chance of a boycott. - Off the top of my head, I have 10-15 mates/family who are season ticket holders, never use forums, have no contact or even follow sos, and would certainly turn up too every home game.

I don't think SOS have enough draw/power yet too try and organise a mass match boycott.

they only managed what 800 fans? too stay behind last sunday - i am a regular user of forums, go pretty much every game, was going on saturday, and knew nothing of it till the end of the match - neither did the half a dozen so lads i went with.

I think first, SOS would have too some how persuade 40'000 fans to stay behind for 10 mins or so which they will struggle with before they could even contemplate persuading those 40000 not too turn up

Why would having an empty ground suddenly bridge the gap between a woefully inept side, lacking in any quality or belief, and an infinitely better side growing in positivity and enthusiasm?

WHU are ****e. An empty ground wouldnt turn them into a good team.

Well that all points to not having created anywhere near enough awareness then, doesnt it? Not even a fraction of what's required.

They either take it to national media and get real exposure, or nothing they do will really have a major impact.

The problem seems to be, and no disrespect meant, but they seem to be full of passion and fire in the belly - but very little genuine nous or know-how.

They're doing the equivalent of stamping their feet and having a tantrum.

I fully see your point ptp about not cutting off our nose to spite our face but most of the season the atmosphere at the games has hardly been worth an extra man has it.

I think a 20,000 fan pitch invasion around the 66th minute would have a better effect..
Saves Rafa making a sub and everyone would get to see..

I haven't taken Fines and Bans into consideration though.

great idea mate, those of us who get caught will always manage a spare fancard to get tickets again and the yanks couldnt afford to pay the fine we could get them out that way

I think that someone has hit upon something here, not just sos staying behind on a live game but spreading the word around internet forums and getting as many people as possible to stay behind for any and every broadcast game, we all know that the tv people stay there and continue their pompous self congratulatory broadcast after the game and if there was a large presence making a noise it would most certainly also be broadcast increasing the profile of the discontent amongst fans

Needs to be spread beyond internet forums mate. Majority of fans who attend games arent on web forums.

Wont make any difference if people in the kop boycott the game as they will most likely be season ticket holders and in that case the ticket has already been paid for.

Season tickets are fairly evenly distributed around different areas of the ground, i think.

This won't make a difference in a way that'll give us definitive results, that we can see as a result of fans actions, but it might just be one small step along the way to convincing them that the fans won't put up with them forever...if they see the protests gathering support with time, it may just plant that seed of doubt in their minds as to how long they feel they should hang on in here, at a club they're hated at, and have trouble even attending games.

I don't know, it may have no effect what so ever, but surely all lfc fans can't be seen to be doing nothing....when they all feel their club is in danger.

I agree vermillion there has to be something we can do.hopefully staying back protesting regularly enough after matches will make more fans realise.if something doesnt happen between now and may of next year we could lose a lot of our best players and by the time enough people opened their eyes it would be too late

The lads on TLW are looking into getting an alternative match shirt for next season. Here is the link to the thread. Someone also suggested we should buy corinthians flags and scarfs in reference to how hicks ****ed that club up and wear them to the match.
