I agree. When i read his comments about the english lessons, i thought he sounded like a lazy ****er, personally.Originally posted by BillobShaisley View PostHe needs a kick up the arse over his english lessons. Raffa wont like the like of application displayed. He's been injured and earns a lot of money, if you can't fit an english lesson in around shopping and entertaining then something is wrong.
He does look like a bit of thick ****er so I guess that needs taking into account.
You train from about 10am - 1pm each day and are paid millions - so make the ****ing sacrifice and take the time to do whatever's likely to improve your adjustment.

They train from 10am to 1pm but they have office duties after that Craig, they leave at 5pm like every other ordinary person.

It's not the temperature that makes our weather ****.Originally posted by Redspin View PostI've travelled the world - and still do - and I've never found a place where it's so mild year-round. I think it was Charles II when he was in exile who said he missed England because it was the only country in the world where you could go for a walk on every day of the year. An overstatement of course, but he's right in that - the recent winter apart - it's usually never too cold or too hot to be unpleasant.
Considering the latitude the UK lies at there's nowhere at the same latitude where it's so mild. Due west of the British Isles, whereas we can swim in the sea (no colder than the Pacific off California, trust me) Canada has icebergs off its coast and polar bears in Hudson Bay. The Titanic was stuck by an iceberg while considerably nearer the equator than its point of departure in England
As Bill Bryson amusingly said in one of hs books, his ancestors left England to look for a better life and they settled in Iowa, where they spent half the year dodging tornadoes and the other half of the year shovelling snow!
It's the fact that it's grey and **** for 300 days a year.

Yes and Yes..Originally posted by Craig_H View PostFor those who think he'll genuinely be sold this summer...
Why on earth would the club have dropped such a calamatous bollock in signing him in the first place? Did we scout that badly, or is our judgement THAT bad???
I think we may have underestimated his injury and his ability to adapt to the Premiership.

Is it possible that it's neither? Sometimes transfers don't work out, the most clear example being Veron. We knew it was a risk when we signed him considering his injuries etc.
I still think it is a little early to make any solid judgments."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."
