      It's not complicated to understand.
      Makes a change then eh?

I think you also need to include the assistant referee and the linesmen in your complaints.

Shift Carra to left back for the return game - he played a season out there under Houllier and whilst he offered nothing going forward he was pretty solid - remember him not giving Beckham a sniff when we played Man Utd then. As has been mentioned, both our CB's seemed to struggle aerially tonight so swapping him for the Greek would probably be a tactical improvement.

Me too, doubt he'll back down..but watch Yossi pick up an injury in training now....just to complicate things.

I wonder if Riera will be given an emergency reprieve?

Would rather just put the left footer out there. Keeps the balance then, plus Agger is better on the ball and will get forward.

I thought we done ok until Babel went.

We'd have won that game with 11 men..
We sat to deep in the second half and invited them in.

Agger left back, Kyrgiakos in the center. He'll probably handle their target man, Cordoza (?), a little bit better than Carra and Danny did today as well. Eat him alive, that is.

It's funny how things can work out....Riera would be one highly motivated player you'd think, it only takes a small knock to Yossi and it would be something to consider, it may be anyway now, he's still a liverpool player on a wage.

Not sure how most fans would feel about it, but for that reason too Riera would be eager to please surely.

                      Difficult one....or is it ?

I wouldn't give a ****, if we need him (even to go on the bench to cover for Yossi) I say throw him in. Doubt Rafa would think like that though, too ruthless, principled and stubborn to be changing his mind.

not sure we could have played better considering the circumstances.

10men, at their place...they managed to beat the bitters 5-0 at home, then 2-0 at Goodison, so all things considered, it's still game on.

                            Could have been worse.

Very much so. I am disappointed with Gerrard though. Yeah, we expect too much but we're not getting much at all at the moment.

All things considered a good result, we rode our luck at times with the chances they got, but then didnt get much off the ref.

This game should be enough to fire up Anfield of classic European night next week
