People can say what they like about Babel - fact is with him on the left wing he offers something in attacking play that no one else in our squad apart from torres has - pace. Also when he plays through the middle he is a genuine threat.

He has improved considerably since he got a decent run of games and it was harsh sending him off so people cant really moan at him for it, fact is if he knew he was going to be sent off he wouldnt of done it. His comments as well show that he is maturing (finally).

I have liked Babel for 90% of his time at liverpool, granted he has done some stupid things such as going to the press when he doesnt play, i think now if he carries on with a run of games then he will only get better.

My attitude towards Babel has thawed in recent weeks. There's no question that he has improved. He is still inconsistant, but considering how little game time he's had in the past 18 months thats hardly surprising. There are games where Babel can go by people as if they weren't even there. We dont have another winger capable of that at the moment. He can also score spectacular goals from nothing. I think he's in the team on merit.

Rafa is famed for his defensive work. Off the top of my head, Torres apart, I cant really think of a great attacker he has bought or coached (Gerrard was already awesome) off the top of my head. If Rafa were to go, it would be interesting to see how Babel would get on under a different manager.

Based on recent performances, he deserves to be in the team. Rafa doesnt go on form though, so i doubt babel will stay in the side for the next league game.

When he came on today he made things happen, ran at their defence and created trouble for them. He's far too attacking and too much of a 'free spirit' for rafa, who will always prefer the slow, less expressive, rigid, hard working non threats.

That was totally pathetic. He's got Aquilani square begging for a tap in and he does that. The guy's a moron. He did quite well when he came on - he actually went past people - but the end product was always turd. Sell.
